New edition looks to be absolute dogshit. made purely to make more money from a new generation with the new LOTR films. 98 profiles removed to legacy... this has reminded me why i hate GW and its fans. they blindly defend any BS move GW. all because you have some stupid affection for a company that's been ripping us off since we were kids.

Could this potentially create opportunities for “Legacy Tournies” or “Ghost Tournies”? Also if certain models go out of production, could that potentially increase their values?

It definitely could! Would love to see how that would shake out as the list inevitably grows (I'm looking at you Woses). Hmm it could increase value since they'd be collector's items, though I think that GW replied to a thread on X yesterday saying that some of these models may become made-to-order purchases as one-offs in the future, so I'm not sure how that may impact the desirability of the models (especially if they are not in the new edition/not as competitive in the new meta).

17:46 Good news! Elendil, Gil-Galad, Forlong, Beregond, Faramir, etc. “on horse” did not have their profiles removed like Grima. This means, #1 they are still playable, #2 there is still hope they produce the model.

Interesting for sure! MTG has made some changes as well and some other gaming communities I am a part of. I think this does show engagement in the community and has to be from listening to feedback from the player base which is definitely a good thing!

Hopefully! We've heard feedback from some players that some of their main armies are completely cut out now, so we think it is definitely a mixed bag. We are hopeful that this means positive change and expansion in the near future!

hahahahahahahahahaha "Listening to feedback from the player base".... hahahahahahaha you think GW is listening to the Player base? as literally every MESBG youtuber is not happy with the new editions. and are only acting positive because they dont want their youtube channels to die. GW has not listening to playerfeedback whatsoever they have as usual acted as the omnipotent GW and have thrown these changes at us without so much as whisper. so much so that most of us MESBG didnt even know about the new edition earlier this year. hell people who bought Rise of Angmar models and books the past few months are now having their armies outdated. that shows how much GW cared to listen to player feedback... you absolute clown.

I saw a post in a thread commenting that Grima wouldn’t have been able to warn Saruman about the weakness of Helms Deep or how they were traveling from Edoras to there without his being able to get to Isengard so fast on horse… seems like a compelling case to me! #JusticeForGrima

14:38 That was very nice of you to consider the Tower of Orthanc as infinitely high. However, that definitely impacted the game and made your 80pt Trebuchet virtually unplayable. Volley Fire is its whole trick. Especially hearing how your opponent just sat back. You had all the range advantage since Celeborn was his leader (meaning no Galadriel/Blinding Light). Just shoot him the Treb, Bolt Thrower and Rangers.
