I can stand teenage guys in the Renaissance period being immature. :P They're quite refined unlike today's boys. However Mercutio went WAY too far harassing the nurse.

yeah in this particular version especially, with the nurse falling? I think it's zeffirelli that takes it too far. In other versions Mercutio is definitely playing around with her skirts but this version does get quite rough. I just rehearsed this scene the other night and I don't think we're taking it quite that far.

Benvolio has the face of an angel. Romeo has the face of a lover and is otherwise just too adorable for words. Mercutio just never fails to make me laugh.
