Outstanding driving and love the commentary overalls! Did you go to a softer or stiffer spring up front? What change in balance were you looking for? After my event last weekend and adding more rear bar I’m considering upping rear springs and backing bar off. I love chassis tuning!

@@1stGenCRXs thank you!!! I went up overall on spring to start the weekend but front end was struggling for grip. I lowered the fronts 50lbs. Next race I cut the bumpstops a bunch and that actually helped a lot more as I was leaning on them more that I thought. All about finding what you like!

why is the rev limiter so low on a 1.5l? looks fun.... i think your really close to being where the car needs to be.

@@alltheboost5363 it’s a small bore and a long stroke motor with low inertia rods. So it uses the small turbo for all the low end torque - opposite of the old Hondas! It’s actually super fun to experience such a different way to deliver power in the same racecar

@@1stGenCRXs mostly driver error 😂 lot more rear brake bias than at the track so was trying to use that to turn the car more but when i have to brake too deep it can do that easily… cranked in more front for my last run but then did the same driving mistake so didn’t help

@@RyanKristoffRacing that is a great way to help get some rotation on entry. Used that heavily when I did autoX. Tighten up the adjustment on the rear drums to get some extra rotation.

This is how I got my start racing my CRX back in 1994. Did you change the suspension setup for this. I found I ran a lot more rear bar in Autox than I do on the track. Great video!

This has to be a huge jump in power over your old EW setup! I can only imagine in your car how that feels. My 86 CRX SI has a K24 making 220 whp and 200ftlbs but tips the scales at 2038lbs and it’s a rocket! Enjoy and can’t wait to see more videos! Go 1st gen CRXs

Yep just got it. Was losing tons of video with the GoPro so finally have a Smartycam. Not best video quality but smaller files that don’t need merged and include data… never even have to press a button.
