I've worked a few of the grocery delivery jobs, some of them don't let the driver choose the substitute. The app decides and wouldn't let you continue unless you scan the substitute. It gets interesting if the substitute needs a substitute. I assume a lot of them used AI to decide, but usually its something of like price or size. Someimes there isn't really a substitute available, but the apps HATE not substituting.
