Nice video. Was this also done on the A7III? I use one too w/Canon lenses. However, I disagree with your dialog. I live in S Oregon and do not see it like that. Logging has been greatly reduced, and what is being cut is being replanted. The Owls were never endangered; that was a lie from the beginning. Oregon is very wild, including the re-introduction of the Wolf. Perhaps you really need to get out more often and see for yourself - like you said? But if you go into Wolf territory, be sure to bring a firearm. They don't care if your are on their side or not; they will just see you as a luncheon opportunity. Same is true for the numerous Cougars; they even run in packs of 3-4 around here. Which lenses do you choose to use most often? 35mm up close? Mostly primes? Or use any zooms, like the 24-70mm? I use the 24-70mm a lot, along with Samyang manual primes (14, 24, and 35mm). Been recently trying out HLG3 for daytime shoots and Slog2 for night.

I was speaking more so in the instance of wildfires. This was shot on the a7siii. Lenses Tamron 16-28 & 28-75.

Some of this was shot on a gimbal, but more than 50% was shot handheld.

The 28-70 is ganna give you much more versatility than the GM. I don't find myself shooting below 2.8 in video very often for video. That said the GM lens is amazing for photography and hard to beat.

Did you use any of the stabilization within Davinci Resolve? ... some of the scenes seem a bit shaky ... obviously your kit lens has IBIS and the Tamron doesn`t ... otherwise nice video, nice colors ...

Yeah this was all hand held with no stabilization. My other kit lens video I used a gimbal for alot of shots. The tamron is great, but has no stabilization. Been messing around with a more minimal kit when traveling ... Thus the shaky footage.

Hi, you said you used Cine4 ... could you give a quick summary as what you did in post to get to the colors and look that you have in the final video (did you use any LUTs?). I have the same equipment and a few primes for my Sony A7iii. Great video! And I am actually amazed how good the 1080 looks. It might be because you used Cine4. Generally the downsized 4K is great, but then one cannot do the slow motion effects.

Thanks man! Yesir I did infact use luts. They are the Cine4 luts by Cody Blue. Big fan his work and his channel. These can serve as a great starting point to grade from. I feel like 1080p is more than enough.

wow ...I almost decided on the canon 7II until I saw your video ... I have a nikon d850 for the video I have a nikon d750 for the photo, but I think the best buy is still a sony alpha 7III ... and your video helped me decide ... I know 7IV came out but ... too expensive. Thanks for the video you made

It's a really good camera for the price. It can really help step up your video quality. Sony's lens lineup has also improved alot over the past few years.
