God, you're reat mate! Learned this in minutes. My (ex) bass teacher would have had me sitting in weird positions having a go at me for £30 an hour.

That is crazily simple! Brilliant! It gives amateurs like me loads of confidence when we realise that it's not always about intricate finger work. I've just looked it up and see that a session musician Larry Knechtel played the bass (definitely didn't sound like Hillman). I wonder if Knechtel deliberately played in a simple style or if it was just a rushed session without time to really prepare anything more elaborate.

Thanks for this. I shall learn it as my covers band wants to do it. I think it is one of the most boring dreary tunes ever, detest it, but bills have to be paid!
