Thank you for sharing this❤️🙏 I am an adult flute learner relearning my flute playing skills again. I am so intrigued by Lorna’s approaches to flute playing in many aspects and this is one of resources for my self taught flute playing endeavor. I would love to learn flute with Lorna on a regular basis. I am still figuring out how to make it happen. I am from Melbourne Australia ❤️

Hi Carolyn - wonderful videos you have. I have continued my varied musical (learning) journey since studying with you at Vanier and it has been much more about learning about learning than becoming good at any one thing but all the while enjoying the journey. Keep well!

I just rewatched this performance before Canada Day 2022 (about 5 years after the premiere in 2017) and was blown away by the wonderful performance given to my work, FOUR SEASONS OF THE CANADIAN FLAG, that starts at about the 24 minute mark.

傑作ですよね。40年以上前、最も初期に好きになった現代音楽です。 It's a masterpiece, isn't it? It's the earliest contemporary music I liked more than 40 years ago.

In 1982 I arranged Ravel's Mother Goose Suite for Wind Quintet with the agreement of the Ravel family. As a member of the English Wind Quintet we toured throughout Britain to play the piece as a part of our repertoire. The arrangement was the only arrangement in existence in the world, a fact I thoroughly checked before I started the arrangement. However, I have discovered in the last few years that my arrangement of the Mother Goose Suite for Wind Quintet has been blatantly copied note for note by many others as their arrangement. All of the versions performed on www.youtube.com are copies of my arrangement except a few few which have changed literally a handful of voicings only. I sold the arrangement via June Emersons specialist wind distributor from 1980's onwards. I would appreciate it if those persons who did this would give me the recognition as the original arranger and direct the sales to me at www.davidnissen.com from now on.
