They have a desktop computer in their bedroom... In 1995. Their parents were rich. A mid-range desktop PC cost about $1600 in 1995. Adjusted for inflation that'd be about $3,000 today.

Read Cyrano de Bergerac my senior year of high school. Roxanne, the girl in the story, was fixated on the outer appearance of the other guy. Cyrano was a brave soldier, but too cowardly to face Roxanne with his own feelings and the truth. Fear of rejection due to his extra long nose. Steve Martin played a more contemporary version of Cyrano in the movie 'Roxanne' with Daryll Hannah as the title character. They change this up a bit for a happier ending. One thing they kept from the book was Charlie(Cyrano) coming up with twenty nose related jokes after some guy insults him with a rather unimaginative one. If you count them, there are more than twenty as Steve Martin lost count while improvising each of them.

Much Ado About Nothing. I thought the main focus of that play was the subterfuge to get the guy and girl who hated each other to fall in love with each other? There is the plot line involving the girl named Hero and the whole mess there. Don't forget the sheriff and his deputy.

I can see Mr. Turner’s point. Everyone was so worried about what was on the test no one was getting into the book.

I remember watching this scene with my mom as a kid. I was laughing so hard when Feeney said “I had to run in front of the car” His face, his voice, everything 😂 Thank you for sharing this. All these years later I still think of it.

Mr. Turner and, Alan and Amy have a point but I feel like, if Mr. Turner had told them about the deal he made with Mr. Feeny in the first place and asked them if they wanted to prove Feeny wrong, promising that there wouldn’t be a test after this, then things would’ve gone down a lot better.
@suburbantimewaster96203 ай бұрын

I can’t believe I forgot about this scene! Corey and Feeny getting on a dangerous roller coaster to prove themselves.
@johnrainsman66502 ай бұрын
Yeah, but you can't blame them for wanting to prove themselves. I myself want to prove myself to my boss. She won't let me do shifts by myself, because she doesn't think I'm capable. My learning difficulties and mistakes at work make me appear stupid and incompetent. I'm basically her Neville Longbottom.
