Hi @bfddrums9455, is there a way to choke open hihats using close hihat without having to resort to triggering the pedal or aftertouch? In Addictive drums, SSD, EZDrummer, etc, all closed hihat sounds would always choke any playing open hihats.

Nothing major for BFD3... just compatibility updates if anything. I think they're focusing on BFD4, but probably not until next year.

I downloaded the free version for my Donner drums and it works great except for one issue. For some reason one of my toms isn't responding. The drum kit works fine stand alone and I've tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in and restarting but all with no luck.

I have exactly the same issue. Tom 1 stopped working Okay I have tested the kit in another DAW - the toms and cables are all functional, but BFD Player doesn't react to tom 1

@@sisisisi1111 I was able to solve this issue by changing the "MIDI" number for that specific tom in my e-drums module. Seems like maybe it's not mapped correctly.

Is there any way to turn off the automatic "humanize" option in the BFD player? HiHats sound awful when playing because they randomly vary in the loudness. I assume the "engineers" assigned some kind of humanize effect but I don't see the point. I mean most of us are playing on the electric drumkits so we don't really need that option as a default. I never really liked that option in any other VSTs but luckily other VSTs don't have it as a default option. It seems to me that the "engineers" just tried to camouflage the lack of recorded samples with that option in the BFD Player. I would like to be the one deciding how loud does my drum element sound... by hitting it harder on my drumkit.

On the center of the main screen, clic DASHBOARD, there you have many general controllers, here, the most importants to achieve a human real playing are the last ones LOUD and TONE, LOUD controls the loudness and AMG (anti machine gun effect) that occurs when you are using samples repeat, and tone can vary subtle the tone of this samples in order to have more variation on the sound, but yes, in some occasion this cannot be desired, also you can find this controlls individually per instrument too

Easily the best BFD3 library done so far. We need a "Vol.2" with more kits recorded there (Middle Farm). It's a great sounding room!

i recently purchased bfd3 yesturday tryin to load on high sierra support is unavailable . I already want a refund,. can anyone tell me how to launch this software . theres a million videos online but no one tells you how this software is supposed to launce. i have uploaded everything excuse me downloaded everything but nothing will launch , no program recognizes it i tried fl studio and pro tools and stand alone mode i was always sceptical about this program i had it a long time ago it show potential then but now its straight up trash. i have never installed anything and did not even get to launch it and i been messing with this for 2 days.

Can't wait to get this! I own ALL of the other packs (3rd party and everything)!!! This is definitely continuing the AMAZINGNESS of Horsepower, Vintage Recording Techniques, and Crush? I'm sure I'm missing some (wooden and metal snares)... Either way, I WANT THIS! I've been using BFD exclusively since 2005? 2006? It took my sterile drum machine sounds and absolutely made rge sounds REAL. Most people don't believe me when i say "that's an e-kit...those aren't REAL drums". I have at least 3 albums releasing this year and ALL will have BFD's fingerprints ALL OVER them, even if it's just a kit (barely) made of ALL percussion pieces!

just picked this one up and wow. the high hats are just insane. the snares arent tuned to my taste but it is a truly exceptional drum pack, the sounds and realism in action is beyond anything ive used and i have them all, sd3 slate ggd, i have all of the programs just about. if you like metal just get it

@@stephenbentley2604 no comparison, ggd mm is fine but the realism isnt close. ggd can sound fine in a mix esp. with lots of heavy guitars but its not nearly as expressive. dark farm is very expressive. ggd cant have more than 25 velocity layers

Thanks, that's really useful to know. I may end up buying this expansion for the hi-hats alone. The way that BFD usually has over 100 velocity layers is a big plus point for me, I already own several other expansion packs. A while ago when I compared all the competition, BFD came out top and I haven't regretted the purchase!

@@stephenbentley2604 yeah, ive been programming drums for over 20 years. i love it, its like a zen thing for me. the high hats in dark farm are truly in a league of their own. theyre like 9.6 gb by themselves. tips and shank artic. broken down into 8ths, like 1/8 open,1/4,3/8 etc... check it out dude
