Does Dirk sing the chorus, or is it some of the other group members? Maybe someone not even in the band?

What happened in the music scene in the early 80s was and still is SOOOO much more interesting to what is happening nowdays. Seriously.

It was the result of the Punk Explosion with it‘s DIY- and Independent-Attitude. And also Synthesizers getting cheaper and affordable in the End of the 70s.

Working with limited resources can be liberating and requires creative minds to make something out of it. It helped tremendously that many of the Ultra artists (like those in the UK and US at the time) were art school students pushing avant-garde art forms, feminist ideas, alternative economic & political models. Also, that there wasn't a global communication system like the internet so regional scenes were allowed to grow in greater isolation than today but would influence other scenes either through brief direct contact (band gigs in other countries) or indirect contact (shared recordings and international radio programs).

LYRICS I see light, you see dark You feel cold, I feel warm I've always wondered why I think and act different than you He likes girls, she likes boys She likes girls, he likes boys There's got to be a difference in the way the we perceive It's the only answer I am able to perceive I hear music, you hear sound You see art, I see clay Personalities form like this, it's the only way If only I could use your eyes for just a single day
