Magenta Horizon released 2 weeks ago and none of my other influencers warned me about it? That's outrageous! I'm so glad I subscribed to this channel <3

@alessandroferrucci6087 This never even showed up on my Steam "Explore Your Queue" lists. Someone just gave me a Steam Key and it looked like something I'd be into, so I checked it out. Well worth it and I ended up buying the soundtrack to show my support.

@bokarshz There are some other questionable reviews on the Steam page. Some positive reviews I understand because some people didn't finish the game when they wrote the review, but some of the others that I've just read look really dishonest.

No excuses for lazy translation, especially when we have AI like ChatGPT

It's been a few months since I've reviewed the game, but besides some of the awkward translations I don't remember anything being egregiously bad and nothing that kept me from completing the game.

Good review although i found the game too slow to be enjoyable. It was very pretty though and a part of the profit goes to whale and dolphin conservation charities so it gets a thumbs up from me

It is pretty slow moving. I think I just got used to it early on. Thanks for reminding me that part of the profit goes to charity!

@patrickowens4294 I think the recent patch made a bunch of QoL and other updates, but besides what faults I mentioned in my review, I really did enjoy it.

A lot of cool ideas in this game. It definitely seems like it's trying new things, which is always good. Thanks for the breakdown.

@patrickowens4294 I think if this was at a lower price, I would be more encouraging for people to try it out.

the envirenement is very atmspheric . its grey decaying and gloomy. fitting for a post apocaluptic survival. the combined camera angle of old resi games with the movement of modern resis. its seems like the controls are stiff but it gives you the sense of disempowernment.
@randomfriendlygamerRFGАй бұрын
@hcohic9884 If the controls are stiff, it may be because I used Steam's controller configuration input since I haven't used M&K for gaming in a long time.

blaz bluelooks like a cyberpunk anime stylized 2d fighting game mixed with roguelike elements in a metroidvenia map. im not sure about the longevity and depth of gameplay mechanics but from a concept and visual aesthetics alone this looks worth trying.
@randomfriendlygamerRFGАй бұрын
@hcohic9884 I think its weakest aspect right now is that its main roguelike mode, Mind Training, feels like it goes through certain preset stage designs until the final level that does feel much more randomized. There's supposed to be a pretty big update at the end of the month but I don't think it'll address that.

On an initial look, sure, the anime style seems odd, but then considering that Call of Cthulhu is just more popular than Dungeons & Dragons in Japan, it kinda makes sense

@epimetrius7348 Just to clarify, the studio who made Depersonalization is Chinese, and I'm not as familiar with the popularity of Table Top RPGs in China but I think the anime style of artwork has been adapted by various animation studios outside of Japan so it could also just be due to overall popularjty.

I would have liked the length of the game to be longer but I lost a lot of time with technical problems. I was also delighted that you included the detail of the Steam Input in the review, it is very useful. Thank you for your honest and constructive analysis! 😄

It seems really difficult to keep track of the targeting reticle. I think Cleared Hot and Reflex Unit : Strike Ops seeem to do it a lot better.
@randomfriendlygamerRFG4 ай бұрын
I think there might be an option that was later added in the menu that might have made this adjustable but I'm not 100% sure. I also played the game strictly on controller, so I think it was easier for me to manage where the reticle was even though I did have trouble from time to time. Have you been able to play Cleared Hot and Reflex Unit? I didn't see a release date or demo available.
