I started stargazing with an 8x56 celestron. I must have torn a ligament in my thumb & my hand has never been the same. Now I'm trying to figure out a solution. I'm thinking my chaise lounge plus a Walker. Attach the binocs to the walker & sit under it. My biggest problem when trying to design a mount: how do you attach the Binocs to it? All I have is this little celestron adapter that connects to the 1/4" screw on my tripod. 1/4 inch?? really?

Is there a link for the monopod? To many options online.

It was a Garret Pistol grip monopod, and they were bought out by Oberwerk, so it may have an Oberwerk name now. Greatly recommended for binoculars up to 65mm 9x & 15x Orion Mini Giants (2.3 lbs). They may work for 70mm as well. Ken

Thanks! I like the convenience aspect of a monopod with a pistol grip, it’s fast and I lack time to stand outside (father of 5) but I have 20x80 Celestrons. I’m struggling to find a cheap and convenient mount that is tall enough to use without hunching over. And living in Cleveland where it is cloudy 90% of time investing in something nice is a tougher sell. I appreciate your response, thanks again!

Thank you all again! I love your content! Any chance you guys will offer an outreach type event inviting astronomers from all over to visit your next meeting star watching party? I would definitely love to partipate and meet club members in person…I’d be coming from central Ohio but I’d have a smile on my face the entire drive lol. Jerry

It was also a paper on optics by Edmund Halley, that inspired a young Joseph Louis Lagrange to take up mathematics. Lagrange ended up becoming one of the greatest mathematicians ever and contributed hugely to mathematics and physics.

sweet telescopes. How do they keep the open air optics clean? 😎 thanks.
@AstronomyForEveryone
@AstronomyForEveryone Жыл бұрын
Mostly they just use low pressure filtered dry air to blow off dust. Because of the focal optics the mirrors can get relatively dirty before they need to do a full cleaning that can be done with a liquid coating that's spread onto the mirrors then peeled off after it dries. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmXTmoigebaWetE

I use a lot of open source astronomy software, do you know of any open source observing logging software and open source session planning software.
@AstronomyForEveryone
@AstronomyForEveryone Жыл бұрын
I like Stellarium for planning because you can input your telescope and eyepieces, then when you can bring up an object and determine what eyepiece gives you the desired FOV. SkySafari is another good one for 'tonights best' to observe and log.

And I have did some calculations and was speaking with my professor about a field of geometric dimensions where electrons respond and calculated ba field of diamonds though rather whole universe and it make me wonder about the intelligent nature activity one mind or is the universe the reflection of my body and universe from it being the particles and cells which cannot sometimes be observed for it simulate an illusion of events that is very wild being that the principle also brings me back to the language of the black hole and the effects on consciousness of nearby planes and satellite and how that effect the observation through a telescope and would that data be measured for more field of waves 🤢

I have a problem that I have no one to speak to about astronomy nor astrophysics and when u can please tell me is the universe physical or only in motion due to observation which these atoms are very robotic and energetic but if the mass is so heavy then why is black holes not in the base of every planet or why are near by planes images so unpredictable diwn to the frequency waves and I really have a gut feeling that the universe in this dimension which is 3 4 5 dimensional abodes do not reveal much detail of the motion. Is this solar system an intelligent unit that is a body that needs each other to keep our cortex programmed to believe what the degree and reality of true placement in our system .

Love your channel and the first database image was so amazing that it made my heart hurt like I knew the group I mean your channel is amazing observation and the measured proportions are looking upon these atoms . Amazing work and what anomalies do u question within our system
