Aerts finished his career the day he stopped throwing those KOing high kicks. But he really is a true legend, very humble and always in the mood for a fight, even past his 40s. I remember the fight he had against Sem Schilt in K1. Or even staying up against monsters like Badr Hari. When younger and more athletic fighters would go down quicker. Nothing but respect for Aerts. Tyrone is just a class act. Incredible career he's had.

robin would take him to the canvas without any doubt,robin is a warrior this other man had "just the luck " on his side . altough he for sure would kick my ass in a minute ,he was totally out classed by robin who is one of the most hard , technical and sportive fighters but then again, this is the game .

respect to aerts but spong is way to much pressure for even a fighter the same age as him. he's got so much composure and sees openings other wouldn't. all round amazing fighter for me!

+Baldwynmayhem Just in case you fail to realize, Aerts was in better shape than he was in his K1 champion days! He's already in his 40s, where he should start losing muscle and gaining fat. I'm not accusing him, just saying he might be on some "enhancement"

+Baldwynmayhem It does but that's not the reason Spong kicked his ass, Aerts is just no match against this killer machine in the first place cuz his guard is bad :p that might work against not that good opponents, but certainly not against a Champ like Spong! But respect that he still wants to do this challenges at his age, however Aerts is a natural heavyweight when Spong actually isn't...

The people who are saying that this outcome isn't fair don't understand anything about this sport. Both fighters are athletes and deserve respect. Because of the knee the doctor had to do an intervention which means Hafid automatically wins. Off course he's glad. Robin is a great fighter and this is a great result. Btw: Hafid is amazigh, not Arab like Badr. Learn the difference.
