My question is the creator of death note atheist all his story if God is real

No offense but this video is wrong and fairly dismissive toward death note itself. You open up the video by dismissing Light’s accomplishments pretty shamelessly. 3:02 you say L’s investigative work allowed him to quickly deduce that Kira was a student. Are you forgetting that Light purposefully allowed L and the police to catch on to that??? Because if you didnt forget then youre misrepresenting whats transpired. 3:33 you then say that Light hacking his father’s computer led to his downfall when that was apart of his plan to allow L and the police to investigate each other out of lack of trust. Killing Raye Pember COULD be lights biggest mistake but your reasoning for it is absolutely nonsense. Here is your claim: “killing raye pember was unnecessary as it led to a snowball of the death note being caught and near using it to beat light” You also said how it was because Raye died that Light had a lot of suspicion on him. What if I told you that killing raye was not only necessary but helped Light win in the end. First off, Misa being in the story would always trigger Light having to forfeit his memories because Misa had fingerprints on her tapes before her face was ever shown. Therefore Rem wouldve forced Light to help her no matter what. So its not L snooping around that led to x y and z, its just plot development. Next, it was Light’s plan to kill the fbi agents and have L hawk him down. Raye follow Light for 2 days before Ryuk told him, meaning hes not gonna risk people following him again. Light kills the FBI agents so the FBI can no longer work with L. Light is also trying to get closer to L and vice versa. Light lays a ton of clues for L to eventually find him and for the main story to begin. By killing Raye Pember he 1) stops the FBI from ever being used again and 2) gets closer to L accomplishing both those goals. This interpretation/ theory or whatever only manifests when you think Death Note is about some meticulous justice morality piece. Light is doing everything out of boredom, as the first chapter states. Light isnt trying to create a just world or become a god or whatever. Light wanted the back and forth, if he didn’t he wouldve stayed in his room or never killed lind L taylor

This is false information, when Rey died all FBI agents died at the same time so there was no reduction of suspects from the current ones. If anything I think killing Rey's fiance Misora was a bigger mistake. L used to work with her on a case and would find it suspicious that she would commit suicide as he knows how big her resolve is and would want to seek out revenge or justice. Giving L the hunch that maybe Kira killed her narrowing it back to Rey Pember.
@gvue43963 ай бұрын
But when he killed Ray, he also killed the entire FBI team that came to Japan. So L shouldn't have known who a suspect was since all of them were killed at the same time.

@LUCKO20223 ай бұрын
Even at that. The reason Light lost was because Misa entered the picture. Had she not gotten a death note, Light never would have had to reveal the existence of shinigami, the notebook and all that. He more than likely never would have been able to kill L either.
@walmartian4223 ай бұрын
But if light never killed Raye Pember it’s very likely that he wouldn’t of met Misa and then she would of went on to get her ass caught. Light being in the pilot seat of the investigative team gave him enough confidence to play along and go out and meet her in the failed sting operation. I think the unrealistic thing was L removing the cameras from the house on a whim and being honest about it. If he just investigated that house for a little while longer he would of saw Misa show up right after the failed sting and would of knew immediately what was going on here.

He was never going to just sit tight and avoid suspicion. Is superiority complex was his ultimate flaw, in my eyes. He got taunted by L into killing Lind L Taylor, he went out of his way to basically laugh in Rey Penbars face when he killed him, and most importantly and perhaps most subtlely; he couldn't resist but mock L on camera when they announced the thousands of investigators entering Japan. Light knowing he was under surveillance at the time was openly commenting on how that is certainly a ruse to make Kira uncomfortable and that Kira will probably see right through it. ... That was 100% Light yagami right there. His ego and his desire to prove his superiority truly made him a prime suspect there. It's not clear if L knew from that moment on, but at the very least his interest in Light sparked into a flame at this moment. That was his biggest.mistske in my eyes, but really throughout the series Light exposes himself because of his inflated ego. Sure he finds clever ways out of the situations for the most part, but he manouvers himself into them in the first place, cause it's not enough to avoid detection. He wants to prove that he's better.

I can understand light in some point, his goal was to get closer to L in the first place, and take him out, which he did...call it Ego ? Why did he wanna even take down L ? We can discuss this, but in the end he took down L, it was after that that he got greedy, and started screwing himself up

Light's biggest mistake in Death Note was not masturbating in front of L. During that episode or two where L is monitoring the Yagami household, Light pulls out a "dirty" magazine (just chicks in swimsuits you'd see at the beach lol) and looks at it in front of the cameras so he doesn't appear too innocent. But that's it -- that's all he does. I forget whether L says this before or after that point, but L remarks that he's suspicious because Light appears "too innocent." Light is a high school student at the time, and the fact that basically all of 'em do it is the worst kept secret in the world. In fact, if you don't masturbate, all that'll happen is that your body will pump it out while you're sleeping and you'll make a mess in your bed, so it's basically just a human need. He should've taken his meat AND BEAT IT! to convince L he wasn't aware that he was being watched. And to be clear, yes I understand that this would require confirming that Light was 18 beforehand, lest the FBI raid all of our houses.

His biggest problem was his guilty conscience. While retaining his anonymity he should have asked the authorities, . "Please show me the law I broke and I'll turn myself in on the spot. I killed no one nor did I direct anyone to kill anyone. At worst I beseeched a higher power to bring misfortune on certain people...aka asking a god to intervene...aka a prayer. . And even if you wanna try to be clever and retroactively make the use of the supernatural artifact called a death note illegal, I'm probably the first person that will be able to successfully use "Devil made me do it" defense the moment the jury touches the death note and sees the shinigami.

Actual, L had no reason to zero in on Raye Penber right away. In fact, he didn't because all the FBI agents died at around the same time. Nothing was suspicious about Raye Penber until L heard Naomi Misora went missing. That's when he suspected that she found something, but Kira found her first. Only then did L zero in on the two families. But what I think was his biggest mistake was to change his pattern in such an obvious way when they said they suspect Kira is a student. I mean... killing one person every hour on the hour? Could you be more obvious? The FBI investigations wouldn't have happened if not for that stunt.

@shwetasingh4900 that's not true. Light at that time was concerned with testing the death note and throwing the investigation off to avoid suspicion. He didn't think to get close to L until after he revealed himself. That move L did was something Light was completely unprepared for at the time.

U missed few things since I've seen death note many many times first it's not about killing Ray cuz he wasn't the only fbi that was killed ,Kira let the boss of the FBI send a file to all fbi and they all were killed at the same time so this wasn't enough to deduct and shrink it into 2 families but it was when Naomi killed . Second and the most important thing that most people didn't pay attention to is Ryuk Yes Ryuk was the reason behind all of these mistakes . Generally Ray was so good at stalking Light that light didn't have any clue about it,which eventually the report will set him innocent since light is very careful . Yet Ryuk told Light about Ray (sure he said I'm not on your side that he's just a spectator ) But that information ruined everything for Light . Third reason Light is paranoid he doesn't give a shit he goes like bring it on its me can you prove it?yeah that's what i thought I'm this good .....kind of person

Light (and L as well) are not as smart as the show makes them seem. They are smart, but just normal smart. Exceptional sometimes, because they are very fast in deducing (not always, tho). But apart from that, they make mistakes (both of them. Especially L when his end comes near seems to be pretty dumb). Why do they seem so smart then? because for some reason the rest of the whole police and FBI (apart from Naomi) are totally useless (except some help here and there), they seem to have no deductive abilities whatsoever. That's just how you make a show that makes the only smart people in it seem mega genius

wait, but didn’t Light have Rey kill ALL the agents that came to Japan to investigate, meaning they couldn’t immediately trace Kira to Rey, since all the agents died? as far as I remember, L only focused on Rey, after he’d become aware of Naomi Misora’s disappearance, and later found CCTV of Rey behaving strangely. Please correct me if I’m wrong or if I’m overlooking something.

Good theory but if light has 2 kill all the fbi agents so if he killed all of them he would realize that the piece of paper had something 2 do with it. Light’s flaw was in the ratio of his ambition to his intelligence. His intelligence was way way above average, but his ambition was god-like. A reasonably smart person might use it (the notebook) sparingly for evil or good (nixing a few people for profit, or nixing a few of the most evil tyrants living currently), and nobody would be able to prove or even suspect anything. And a humble fool with no ambition might comfortably destroy it and lead a simple life. Light’s ambition was what killed him.
@kwadjostar3 ай бұрын
L would have gotten his hands on a notebook sooner probably, because Misa would have been caught, she never would have stopped sending tapes which is how she got caught with DNA and her guard was kinda down already cause she believes gossip mags about L being useless and dumb. Her plan was to get L on TV to kill him despite everyone having seen him use that trick on OG K she's not getting away. And once that happens and they know about the notebook all the footage of Light being 'normal' is useless as proving his innocence, plus he says some wild stuff in his room after the cameras are removed and they're only removed cause L is pretty sure that the method won't be so easily reviled, so he's kinda already thinking it's magic. Ray dies at the same time as all the agents in Japan but only some of them have high-school students under investigation and Ryu only told Light about being followed, Light assumed cameras and taps. If they double back with the cams he's cooked.

I believe Light made a far more crucial mistake prior to Ray Penbar's death by targeting the hostage taker, his first victim, then subsequently using the Death Note waaaaay too many times, which any statistician will tell you just gives the investigators more data to locate you with. Utilizing Random Number Generation to pick his criminal targets would have worked better for Light (which I believe someone with a 200 IQ would consider), as the data gathered by the investigators would have been corrupt or, better put, invalid. Providing erroneous data (as in cause, time, location of death inconsistent) to authorities would have afforded Light a massive bubble to operate within, and would never have prompted L to send the FBI to the region in the first place.

I feel like most of Light's decisions at the start were out of pride and curiosity. He only started becoming more intelligent after he started being surveyed by the police department. He may have been better off changing how each prisoner dies and when they die in a non routine but then again he found out about scheduling and way of death later on. I must say though, Lights biggest mistake was killing Lind L. Tailor.

I think what a lot of people forget is that Light had Raye kill all of the FBI Agents, and the only reason L narrowed it down to the people Raye Penber was tailing was because of a factor that Light couldn’t have accounted for, that being Naomi Misora. When Naomi showed up at the police station Light was forced into a tough spot, either let Naomi live and L would’ve caught him immediately, or kill her and the suspects would be narrowed down to him and the deputy director’s house. Another thing people forget is that Light tells Ryuk why he killed the FBI agents: 1. Because he didn’t know how long they would be investigating him 2. By killing the FBI agents, the Kira task force would find out that L went behind their back and was investigating them. Light’s plan actually worked. Most of the Kira task force quit and L was forced to reveal himself in order to regain the trust of the few who remained in the task force. I think Light’s actual biggest mistake was his overconfidence in the second half. He was so confident that no one in the task force suspected him that he didn’t think to check if the note pads were tampered with, he was so confident that Near hadn’t even considered the possibility of a fake death note that he didn’t even bother coming up with a back up plan, which was ultimately his downfall.

This is what the 2017 live action does a little better. With that version of Light he was less lazy and made the deaths more specific. With less of a pattern to follow up on it took L months to narrow down the geographic area instead of days. Then there’s the scene where Light deceived investigators that Kira was still operational while he was in a coma. Quite a better strategy in my opinion.

Ngl, I doubt Ryuzaki would've moved on. Yeah, killing Ray fueled it all, but it wouldn't be as easy as him being out of the suspicion zone if he didn't do the deed. Light pulls a 360 in confinement and Ryuzaki still isn't convinced, so I doubt this would be enough. He'd at least eventually have light up as a suspect again. Albeit, it'd be a lot more interesting since the only bit of "evidence" Ryuzaki can work with would all be abstract. Neat speculation in hindsight, regardless

Great video! I’d argue that killing Raye wasn’t necessarily a mistake however. I do agree that it does start the chain reaction that leads to his downfall, however it is more of just an unfortunate tragedy for both of them. Light killing Raye was an incredibly smart move theoretically, as he doesn’t know for how long he’s going to be trailed, and the longer he is being followed, the more likely he is to be caught. It was just an unfortunate coincidence that Raye was going to be done following him that day. For all Light knows, he is going to be followed for a year. Based on the information he had, killing Raye was a smart move, it’s just in reality he shouldn’t have.
@lufsolitaire53513 ай бұрын
Yea, it’s possible Raye was just handing the job off to somebody else as his work period ended. If Light hadn’t killed all their agents, they’d still be supporting L and L would just give the job to the next agent. As soon as L profiled who Kira was, he wasn’t going to stop hounding Light until he does something suspect enough to bring him in for questioning, and possibly trial. It also helped lead to Light taking out Naomi Misura, who would have been more competent than any of the task force(except L). But then again you could say if Raye weren’t killed she’d have never gotten involved but I think at some point L would have brought her onto the task force just because she’s again more competent than the task force(also having no personal connections to either Light or Chief Yagami) and she’s somebody L trusts.

Light believed that the only way to truly become god of the new world was to eliminate L by getting close to him. So he purposely put enough suspicion on himself so that L would be forced to make a move and reveal himself in the process. An example of this was killing criminals whose names weren't broadcasted, telling L that he had access to police records. But I agree that it was a big mistake to ever create all of this evidence pointing to him. Light was egotistical and would make these big, risky plays, which was entertaining but his inevitable downfall.
