Oh men. I played that game like 10 years ago. In the first minute into that video i am sitting here crying. It is just brilliant how they brought so much emotion without fancy graphics. I will always keep this game in my heart.

It's interesting... Twelve years ago, almost everybody was crying at the very end, when John finally joined River on the Moon-but today, with the zoomers just learning about the game for the first time, most of them seem to cry mainly at the scene of John and River's first encounter as kids at the carnival, where the game finally lays out the last missing fragments of information on what both of their final wishes really meant to them on a deeper symbolic level.

First time I saw this game it was Pewdiepie’s play-through and I was probably like 14-15. I have Asperger’s syndrome and that aspect alone really amplified the experience for me. I remember I was emotional for a while after the game ended.

I think part of the reason why the ending really hits hard is a rather simple truth: death. The death of an individual, especially someone you have spent much time with (such as a loved one), is almost always a hard-hitting real-life event, and in this case it is that of someone you've had the opportunity to watch his entire life story and empathize with for the past several hours.

If I have to be honest with you, I expected a train wreck in this game. And I did see the train wreck of feelings. But the part that confuses me was the part when people said that they cried so hard but when I played it myself, I found out myself and I cried too. The game itself is truly a masterpiece. Sure, I cried a lot when River was talking with Johnny about the stars in the festival, that made me cry too. The way Dr. Rosalene was going to delete River but just removed her, that was a train wreck too. And the ending. Hey, if someone releases movie about this, I'll risk my money to buy it. It is truly a magnificent, incredible game.

Pewds was a baby back then my god Also I cried like I never cried in front of anyone playing this game. What a great experience.

I love the game but did no one noticed the fact that Eva saved Johnny’s brother! So in that scenario Johnny would have not taken any beta blockers and his memory of meeting with river should have bene intact. He would have met river next year in the fair and so on so forth.
