Is it possible to take just the plastic panels off without removing all the stutf underneath it? Looking to do a interior swap and i cant figure out how to get just the panels off without taking the whole thing out also if i have to take it all is there possible compatibiliy issues on wiring/ac vents etc going from a laredo into a limited
@Motorcycle_Man3 күн бұрын
What do u mean by plastic panels? If what im thinking is right then no It all has to come off as a unit to acccess bolts from backside. And yes there may be issues if one vehicle has dual climate control and the other has manual. But if u r only changing panels then it will be fine.
@blantickal32693 күн бұрын
@Motorcycle_Man don't worry i think you understood me! I think it was i who was confused as to how the construction of the dash was made see i figured the panels were attached to a subframe of sorts instead of being one giant piece.

Yeah my Jeep dealership said “it’s not serviceable because it’s a factory sealed transmission. There would be no way to get the old fluid out or to get the new fluid into it so we can’t do it.”
@Motorcycle_Man17 күн бұрын
Im highly disappointed in your "jeep dealership" All transmissions are "sealed" You know whats ironic? This transmission fluid is easier to change than 99% of transmissions that claim to be serviceable. And this transmission has a drain, fill and check plug!!! Alot of transmission need to have the entire pan removed just to even drain the fluid! Now that's a PITA! Email this to your jeep dealership and attach 1000 laughing emojis🤣🤣🤣
@zac.bolin0117 күн бұрын
@ that’s what I said “It’s funny that this has a drain plug, fill plug, and leveling plug and it’s not serviceable… but on my crown Vic it’s considered serviceable and you have to remove the crossmember and entire transmission pan and replace the filter and put everything back on” “I don’t know who told you that but there’s nowhere to put fluid in. It’s sealed at the factory, they put the fluid in before they put the transmission on the car.” NO THEY DONT 💀 Whatever… probably saved me $600+ anyway I’m doing it today
@Motorcycle_Man17 күн бұрын
@zac.bolin01 yeah that's disappointing that the "experts" of these vehicles dont even know something so simple. All "sealed for life" transmissions are still 100% serviceable. And lifetime fluid is an absolute joke, no fluid lasts that long. Its almost as if they want you to not change it and then after 100k miles when the drivetrain warranty expires your trans blows up and then they want to you buy another. What a complete joke. If yoi have any questions while changing the fluid please make sure to reach out. I check comments and respond daily
@zac.bolin0117 күн бұрын
@@Motorcycle_Man it was pretty easy getting it out I drained while warm to get more out so I’m going to wait a few hours and let it drip before I put the new stuff in But it was pretty easy… easier than bleeding brakes which is job 3 today on the Lost Sheep Motorsports November “fleet” (2 cars a bmx bike and a pit bike lol) maintenance agenda lol This Jeep is my primary work car so it needs a few things done right now lol sitting at 52,500

I had a break fluid acid meter on me and the guy was like huh never heard of that. I do all mhe work myself as i dont trust them @Motorcycle_Man
@RAYROTHSTEIN6617 күн бұрын
Its just plain ptfe thread sealant, a better choice is gasoila sealant, its non hardening and resistant to all petroleum and water based fluids. And you should really roll thru the firing sequence to torque the rockers, that way they are not pushing against the lifter plunger too much. And you forgot the cone washers on the intake manifold bolts... tech tip, take a small uninitiated and just hit the backside of the intake dowel pin holes, it avoids breaking the manifold and who cares if you have a 1/32" wiggle when setting it on the head. Im not being critical of the video, but these are things to add to people watching this, I've built a dozen of these wj's and not to mention xj's, every little thing to help the average joe not break a part or question what to do or buy will go a long way.
@Motorcycle_Man14 күн бұрын
Thanks for the input!!! Its much appreciated
@RAYROTHSTEIN6614 күн бұрын
It autocorrected to uninitiated, it should read take a unibit to the backside of the intake and step the dowels holes up one size, it will slip on easy and it ony has 1/32" wiggle room.
