Had two holidays in Gillingham Kent in 1976 and 1979. All the way from Scotland. Father was a specialist welder and worked at Chatham docks. Memory of the time,,Medway had no water in it and was dry as a bone and your ice-cream melted the moment you got it. 😂 1979.. Now,that's a story,Traveled all the way from Scotland on the train Jake Jones .. Red Loin swimming club,Red Loin working men's social club. Watching Clint Eastwood, Everway but lose at the Cinema then going to a bar across the road that had a very diverse group of characters. 😂never got over being Could love.

I haven't been to the Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre since before Corona, and a few shops seem to have gone. Happy to see Sainsbury's still in there. My favourite supermarket back in good old England.:-) And M&S haven't left either. Marks & Spencer have been in this place since William the Conqueror bought his underwear from them.
