GOOD STUFF.... I'm a month into using my Commarker B4 30 watt fiber laser and with it being a galvo unit, it's performance blows me away.... I printed the entire text of the Gettysburg Address on a 86mm x 54mm aluminum business card with a 2mm Ariel font. At 1500mm/sec, 90% power, this sumbitch only took 8 damn seconds to burn the entire address with PERFECT letter quality.... My Longer B1 30 watt UV laser does a great job with the wood and black acrylic projects and the fiber finishes them off. These lasers have a way of getting into your blood and they are perfect to keep us retired folks busy.... Be safe.... Hank

Get rid of all the hard driving thumping beat music. It makes your business sound like it is run by a teenager instead of an adult.

Hi there. can it only be opened by removing the screws?
@Cncking7 ай бұрын
A sharp rock on the acrylic will shatter it or you can throw it in the fireplace... but screws are less destructive.

How do you design for the material thickness in a mold? It I scale either half, it changes the distance between features and no longer a uniform gap for the material.

The charring on the backside is from reflection off your honeycomb, not sure how you would reduce this on something as thin as paper
@DWN93 ай бұрын
For anyone else that comes across this, the best method would be to have another sacrificial piece of paper or thin cardboard behind your main piece in order to take the hit from the refracted laser

What type of clear coat do you use for these coasters? Also would hot mugs affect the clear coat?
@Cncking Жыл бұрын
Depends on spec but generally tung oil works fine - heat generally goes UP not down so heat is generally quickly dissipated away without much chance of build-up unless your mug is made out of stainless steel, then it will stay hot for a very long time.

If you laser etch or sandblast the entire panel and leave the logo clear, will the edge lighting light up the entire panel with exception of the logo? In other words, just opposite of what you're doing here - your letters light up and the background panel is clear. I want my whole 1/2" thick cast acrylic panel lit up and my logo clear and I can only utilize edge lighting which I'm told works great with 1/2" cast acrylic.

I'd have to do a test first to see if it works that way as well - contact me at CNCROi.com and we can go from there.

Hi, can you tell me how you glue two pieces together? do use clamp? and for how long if you do? It's actually a great way to skip changing the bits, using the cheaper material and much faster production. but I have no idea how to glue them properly to last forever. thanks again.
@Cncking2 жыл бұрын
Play around and find what works for you, just glue and clamps then sanding edges clean before throwing it in a edge trimmer/bander is how they did it after painting it all.

@Cncking2 жыл бұрын
This was for a carpenter and if you know what you are doing, then this poses no more of a problem than solid shaker doors - each has their plus and minus. Personally, I wished people were more creative with their cabinetry as shaker is boring.

Maybe it’s the location - New England carpenters would laugh at this - you’re adding an unnecessary step to a TWO PIECE door?? Laminating is not how you do it
