Star blanket is the greatest honor to receive. Long ago it wasn't a stat blanket it was a buffalo robe. After the white man came forced us to live on reservations and the white man started to kill all the buffalo. We had to replace it with a new version of the buffalo robe. When you are first born into the world your mother would wrap you up in a buffalo robe and when you die you was wrapped in a buffalo robe. This is why we have baby star quilts and we wrap a star quilt on the casket symbolize this old way. When you receive a star blanket you will always remember them when you use it. This is how it was taught to me. Hau hecetu welo.

Red Land, thank you for the education. That visit-and that presentation of the Star blanket/quilt-was among the greatest honors I believe I have ever received. I will always remember my visit. Thank you, again.

Good morning Steve, I am writing from Italy, don't speak well English. Thank you for the suggestion. Interesting topic. Gratitude is a very important aptitude. Beautiful landscape, the sound of the ocean is wonderful. I agree with you, the first enjoy especially when you sharing whit your beautiful dog Roxie. I follow you, thank you. Sebastiano Longo (I don't use google translator for chose)
@PiscitelliCreates3 жыл бұрын
Thank you, Sebastiano, for your kind note of gratitude. It (gratitude) can help us and others as we remember the good (small and large) moments and people and opportunities that cross our paths each day. May you embrace them. Thank you again, for reaching out. Peace and Gratitude
SQ3R Revamped is more modern and effective, IMO: Survey, Question, Rephrase (Feynman method), Recall (Active Recall) and Repetition (Spaced Repetition). Shortly, Survey, Question, Rephrase and Spaced Retrieval (S-Q-R-SR).

"Thurgood Marshall Sworn in to SCOTUS" was one of the only highlights on that watery table. The rest were such appalling instances of racism & abuse that I saw a grown man cry reading them.

I have visited the site twice and toured the SPLC museum once. Each time I left with a ache in my heart, sorrow for those killed (and their families), and gratitude for those who keep on fighting for justice.
