Our '23 Max X DS RR after under 400 miles with 3 riders and a small amount of gear in the back was down to 9". Yes, 9 freaking inches. I've added windshield, BRP enclosure, front bumper, winch, gusset kit, and a few other things that don't weigh a lot, but that was insane. I was only able to crank mine up to about 13" (weighed down like we ride). Going to 16" would have put me into coil bind. Hence why I'm ditching these stupid springs at less than 500 miles for some Shock Therapy.

I know it's old video but, the belt temp was way more than 165 deg for sure. The Factory temp sensor is for the air temp inside the clutch housing, not the actual belt temp. So you were most likely running that belt over 200deg. Did you even figure it out the clutching problem ?

With the crossover so high the top spring is going to go into coil bind before the spacer hits the crossover. I’m sure it is giving one hell of a thump when hitting big bumps or whoops when the top spring binds up.

Thinking hard about getting my first sxs. The KRX seems to fit the bill on what my wife and I are looking for. I appreciate the knowledge and review of this unit. Either way I’m going for reliable and to me that equals Honda, Kawasaki, or Yamaha. And it seems to hold true in the reviews I’m seeing.

Theres a lot more wrong with this machine than mentioned although you did touch upon some valid points, Changing the oil shouldnt be a pita. Air filter location is stupid and a pian to remove.My 2024 after 12 miles squeaks more than my 2020 polaris and my 2021 kawi. Seating posistion is terrible. Half single thin skinned doors like 20k you cheap bastards can give us an atcual door? plus the door handle is a winch strap omfg im surprised BRP didnt just put a zip tie there. I could go on for hours. Before you decide to purchase one of these jokes look into the Kawi you wont regret how durable easy it is to mantain and the build quality is second to none and a reasonable price. Plus its actually reliable. Go figure.
