And here all these years I thought the one line was, "You were on your Own, When the Bullet hit the Bone." which given the song is ultimately about betrayal made good sense to me.

the first time i heard this song in the car when my parents put it on i really wasn't fond of it, but now i think i'm starting to like it... especially the chorus - which ironically was the part i used to dislike the most, just a few months back!

Nirvana was my first concert because New Kids on the Block happened in 7th grade and I barely remember it 😂 Ah, but at 15, a sophomore in high school, my buddy said "Hey, there's a show tonight, wanna go?" So we skipped school and headed down to the Spokane arena and bought our tickets for $15.00. The Butthole Surfers opened, then another band that I can't remember, then Nirvana took the stage. I was in the mosh pit, 95 lbs soaking wet and totally sober (as 15 yo girls should be 😂😂) I lost my friend in the crowd and was getting my ass kicked in the pit; until these 3 giant guys decided to protect me- they stood around me and kept me safe. Then they discovered that since I was so tiny, I could be launched up to crowd surf quite easily. I made eye contact with Kurt one time when I made it up front; I about fainted. Security lifted me back over the fence and I crowd surfed back to my body guards. I never got the chance to properly thank them, so I hope maybe one day they come across this message and see how thankful I am, and was, for how they took care of me. (At one point, they were back to back pushing people away so I could just mosh in the middle, it was so unexpectedly sweet.. that pit was INSANE) And thank God for steel-toed combat boots. Ah, to have experienced the 90s and the Grunge scene in Washington was just frickin epic. If you're still reading this, thanks for indulging in my little stroll down memory lane. Have a happy day 😊

My next concert, 3 months later, was Soundgarden; then Candlebox; then Pearl Jam (Eddie's grandma Pearl made jam, did you know that's where their name came from? The more you know!); then Bush and No Doubt; then Nine Inch Nails (boxed seats for that show, just epic!) I indeed feel lucky... I've always loved concerts. The Weeknd was scheduled to come here in May of '22 but, cancelled (and that was my present to my kids- they're young adults and I thought it would be perfect for their 1st concert) but sadly that's not going to happen 💔 😢 Now covid19 has changed so many things.. I wonder if we'll ever be able to mosh again? 🤔 (in a giant pit like we used to)
