I had the privilege of living there from '60 - '62. As with Japan itself the yatais have developed into something unrecognizable. Yatais have morphed into open-air restaurants, complete with refrigeration and neon lights. Videos like this make me feel like some one has stolen my past??

Монорельс такой конструкции я считаю шедевром инженерной мысли. Как городской, эстакадный и компактный транспорт -- железная дорога, что называется, рядом с ним не стоит. Но может быть, в скором будущем, "Лямбда" начнёт соперничать за быстрый разгон, короткий тормозной путь и стремительно скоростное прохождение кривых без обязательного в железной дороге наклона в 8 градусов. К сожалению, я руководствуюсь только теоретическими данными. Расчётов со стенда испытаний нового железнодорожного транспорта под названием "Лямда" пока нет...
