Just a reminder car wash watr is not potable in fact it is recycled. I would go after cleaning and rinse with fresh city water.

Great, lovely video. But what about the top part? Like under the top side and down the sides a bit? Cleaning the slaughter house and we had short hot water pressure cleaners. Chlorine and de-greasant.

Well! Thank goodness for algorhythms eh! Here in Atlantic Canada, province of Prince Edward Island, I have an opportunity to buy two IBC totes, 1000 liters each. The need cleaning out though from de-icing fluid....and living in the country I cannot hose them down because the contamination would go down our drench into a beautiful Stanley River. You just gave us the solution....drive to a carwash in the next town and do what you are doing. Other channels suggest using Dawn soap first, and then rinse and rinse. Thank you so much for this brilliant idea and showing us how to do it. Gratefully, Atlantic Canada Eastern Canadian household 🙏🙏🙏 🇨🇦

Are you and your gardens still doing okay if y'all use this IBC totes for water? Problem with using those totes if they're not food grade and they had food in them instead of chemicals like the deicer what happens is that the chemicals that used to be in that tote when it was full have absorbed into the plastic and we'll reach out into your drinking or gardening water.😮

This gives me hope! My wife and I are cash flowing a house build. We're about 8 months in and we're moving in the weekend of Thanksgiving. It has a full loft and I plan to do a water barrel up there to gravity feed water to the kitchen and bathroom sink and one smaller one for the shower. I've been worried about how to make the transition from hose to an actual fixture and whether the pressure of gravity feeding would give good enough pressure to run through fixtures! I love the scripture at the end. My wife and I grew up in church but just started our true faith journey about 18 months ago. I truly do feel blessed that the Lord has given us the opportunity to have a home without massive debt, even in a time that most people are destroying their finances just to get a basic home. He always makes a way when we're unsure how we'll continue moving forward! My hope and longing for eternity in a way makes me appreciate the life God has given us on earth even more!

I was wondering what the name of the company is where you bought your totes. I live in NWA and willing to travel for those kind of prices for food grade totes. Loving your videos.

Put a gallon of bleach and a gallon of water and rinse like mad. Once empty then use a gallon of vinegar and rinse but leave the vinegar in for 24 hours @ 6 hours on each side. Then you can start prepping to store water

Goats on the roof! A real farmstead. Sorry about the loss of Sarah. Blessings come in many forms and sometimes we don't even know what it is until sometime later. Love is not in short supply regardless of what some may say - love is abundant and takes us places we never knew existed.

I remember when mama Kitty rejected her kittens for some reason and every day we lost one despite my efforts. I cried so hard that week. Sorry things didn’t work out but you guys gave it your best and it was with an open heart that Sarah came to peace in your arms. I know, like me you would probably do it all over again because if you didn’t get that pig I probably would have LOL I think that’s why Gene kept me talking in the parking lot lol ✌️🙏❤️

That’s awesome. I hope it works out. We had to go 300 foot into the ground to find water. Then I found a flowing spring a few hundred feet from our well lol. I saw the ditch before but the area is grown up so I never walked the length of it. I thought it was a run off ditch for 6 years. I decided to explore that part of my property one day when it was cold out and figured the ditch was a good thing to follow so I didn’t get lost if I accidentally left my property. I followed it until I came to the end which was actually the beginning. I found a natural spring. During the dry months it barely flows but during the rainy months it flows strong.

We would love to hear more from you both about your experience during the week. Task are great but hearing from your heart would tell us a lot more about what is happening. Your parents trash!?!?!?! What does that feel like to have your parents move there or other members of the family? How is that impacting what you're doing, future food production, water supplies and the like? What has God shared with you and the family about direction? That would be far more revealing about how the farm is progressing. We love you and love hearing about water tanks, the suggestions, which that's all they are, would add a little more flavor, a little sprinkling of salt!!
