I'd definitely get rid of those brown carpets they absorb the light ..but those homes are beautiful ,here in the UK depending where it is of course ..a one level house ,a bungalow of that size if it was made of brick could easily be 1\2 million £££ ,even more

That OSB will not last on the ground like that, use steel and dig a trench for it to run into the ground, then back fill, I do Vinyl siding, but weed eaters tear up the vinyl.

You make it seem so easy, im useing 2in xps and plywood or trying too anyway the wheel well sticks out about a ¼in some delicate sanding if i can figure out the wheel measurement or use chalk.

Can you tell exactly how the two halves are attached together? Are the fasteners underneath, Inside along the marriage wall? I understand there are often lag screws from rafter to rafter screwed in from the root top.

Hi there that was an interesting video to watch! I have a question for you my brother who lives in Michigan just bought himself a nice double wide but it did not come with any kind of instructions or manual or anything like that I don't know what people do with their paperwork but anyway the movers that we have here in Michigan told us we had to get the schematic so he will know exactly how to take the mobile home apart you know and then put it back together so I Googled it trying to find what we needed and all I found so far was like a manual that you could use for ordering parts and such and believe it or not or not that was $200 for that manual so I just wondered if you have any idea where we might find that type of paperwork for our Movers if you feel you can help me at all please get back with me and let me know what you think okay maybe give me a little input I would greatly appreciate that! If I was going to have a home like this, I would have invested in a regular footer and had it set on cement block like a regular home. Settling occurs with anything, but you will have far less trouble with a good footer than piers just put on the ground....

What if you have one that has fallen over off its jacks? How hard is it to lift it up from the ground. I have a lady who hit it with her car and pushed it over. And I’m not sure what the proper way to address such a problem?!” Maybe some insight, could it be lifted independently on each corner and would that lift the center as it is a double wide just curious if it possible to do with bottle jacks and I also have a backhoe with forks..? And if so what does something like this typically cost I am a contractor who does specialize is unique situations but this is a first.. so I really need some insight as to what my best options are and what a job like this usually costs. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

PLEASE - Home Nation - change the video. This shows corners of rooms. You dont get a feel for its size. You market to people from hundreds of miles away who dont always take a trip to see these. We need more than corners and cabinets in corners. We need a walk-through. Your product is awesome. Flaunt it.

Question, is there supposed to be any gaps between the middle? I checked underneath and there’s gaps and I can see the big screw in the middle where they screwed the two together.

Folks ... do NOT install a horizontal "band board/trim" even if caulked it will eventually leak and catch debris, this will rot out your sheathing. Use "Z" flashing instead. Paint the bottom end/edge of the sheathing. Do not caulk it, that way it can drain. Gravity never fails, caulk will. Z flashing not caulk. I understand the horizontal trim can look nice, but it's no fun letting your sheathing rot.

Just curious how you deal with moisture ingress from the grass and rain onto those 2x6's? I'd worry that being directly on the ground, it'd attract all kinds of creepy crawlies once the wood is waterlogged (e.g. carpenter ants, termites, etc.) Or is that expected and there's only a short service life?

In reality... if you're doing it on your own property and you have the money, you really want a basement foundation, or at least a crawlspace. Something permanent. Modern mobile homes are generally durable enough to last indefinitely if they are on permanent foundations. If you have a well-maintained double wide on a permanent foundation and landscape it nicely and build decks, you have an appreciating asset.
