Interesting that the announcers are wearing Spectrum Sports shirts when this game was on FSN. Also interesting that they use the Fox College Football intro for a high school game…

Mid country madness never disappoints. A friendly rivalry between the two towns. The kids know each other and gift to win but are respectful when they lose.

That defense hunted like pack animals. Big, strong, fast, discipline, and mean.....recipe for disaster for offenses. I had the pleasure of seeing these MONSTERS in person vs Manvel, Steele, and LT. Havent seen a defense as intimidating for 16 games since 2015.

Katy has always been a tough team but C.E. King has given them hell the last 2 times that they met in the playoffs. It's just a matter of time until the Panthers become one of the top 10 high school teams in Texas and eventually, win a state championship of their own

Earl was NOT very good - all the defenses had to do was have 4 or 5 guys tackle him at the same time and the guy goes down like a rock.

My dad used to put the radio on the Hebert playoff games if they played earlier, on our way to the PNG playoff games in the Dome. The '76 Panthers were tough, but I don't think you would want to play the '75 PNG team. I would have liked to see it, though. Southeast Texas football was great back then, but only one team from each district could go to the playoffs. I wish I could have seen a Coach Durley lead Hebert team. He did so much in such a short time.

@@wilbertbrown2251 I definitely will! By the way, I taught and coached baseball, volleyball, and cross country at Ozen from 2002-2005. Football is my sport, but there were no coaching openings. I did have a McCloney in one of my classes, and Quarterback Joe was keeping students honest!
