Informative video.Among my collection is an A4010 SL that needs service.I'm sure watching your video will be a big help in accomplishing service...especially that loose microswitch,I would have never found that.

Hej, I'm working on one of these and wonder if you or anyone else knows why the machine comes to a stop halfway through a fast rewind/ forward. Caps? Also the record lights don't come on except an occasional blink so per your video I'd guess relays. Good job on these. Very informative. larry

Thanks so much for the comprehensive walkthrough. I have this same deck. It's in beautiful cosmetic condition having been kept in the original box for the last 20+ years. But needs lubrication and new belts, of course. May I ask what kind of oil you injected into the tubes?

3 in 1 oil typically works well for motors.

Hey, I'm trying to get a A6100 working. Got all of the mechanical things working but it will not record the signal on the tape. Record light is on. any ideas?
@The8TrackChap4 жыл бұрын
Check if the linkages inside are fully depressing the micro switch inside when the machine is engaged into record mode. Otherwise the issue could be with the relay contacts being oxidized. Or worse could be open coils.

Don't be tweaking the bias ... you will make it worst, unless you have all the equipment to inject the correct signals and measure the voltages
