I played definitive edition in October last year. I used to play it as a kid all the time just doing gta stuff but never played the story. Easily my favorite gta out all of them I’ve played.

Play it on a PS2 using a CRT TV. First off, the PS2 may have had lower resolution but the lightning and the general vibe you get while playing was so much better. Plus the reflection of your headlights in the rain were visible and they aren't on the PC version. The black colors will look ten times deeper on a CRT TV and the refresh rate on these TVs is outstanding compared to the LCDs we use today. Not to forget that scanlines are the main reason such TVs are forgiving when it comes to bad graphics. In every way shape and form will the experience on this setup be better... not to forget that car/npc stuttering is due to frame limiter in video settings that don't even exist in PS2. Its a simple start up and enjoy
