@PurpleRoseCraftsАй бұрын
It's all stockinette, one row knits and the reverse is purl. I'm not sure which row you mean, but the whole row is one or the other.

I did the absolute beginner cast on stitch, which ended with my two ends of thread on opposite ends of the needle, then this one starts with them both on the same end. Am I missing a step in between?
@PurpleRoseCrafts2 ай бұрын
No, this video just used a long tail cast on to start. Just use the yarn from your ball and ignore the tail.

Would be better to view the foundation portion without the blurring effect. The focus was going in and out and the music was too loud. It was off-putting. :(

To clarify please, that's knit 2 tog, slip marker, knit 2 tog then knit the round, Next row only knit correct. Thank you.

I believe it's ssk, slip marker, then k2tog. K2tog will lean the wrong way for one of them, if you use it twice.

When you point to the chart, you point to the bue and say three white, then you point to the white and say blue. WTH? So you're saying the blue on the chart is actually white and the white on the chart is Blue? So confusing!
@PurpleRoseCrafts4 ай бұрын
Yes, the colour on the chart could be anything. You decide what colour's to knit where. I did mine opposite of the colour's on the chart I made. Sorry if I didn't explain that in the video.
@florencecathcart95884 ай бұрын
Very confusing. You say you're going to pick up the white but then you knit with the blue. As you point to the chart you say three white while pointing to three blue. Is one of us color blind?

Thanks so much for your video! I’ve made the dish cloth and loved it. Would it be possible to use this pattern, just adding more stitches, to make a blanket?
@PurpleRoseCrafts5 ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely! I'd recommend using a long round needle to get all your stitches on. I made a placemat with this pattern, rectangle. I continued increasing on one side while doing decreases on the other.

What is the stitch requirements with the blanket to do this border?
@PurpleRoseCrafts6 ай бұрын
We use single crochet and slip stitches.

When knitting on circular needles, do you just do Knit stitch the whole way around to get stockinette? Vs Knit one row, Purl one row for flat knitting.

Yes, exactly!

Thankyou, my child wants to knit, but I have never learnt how to cast on. Your video has given me the know how ❤
@AshleyAriesK7 ай бұрын
So do u just try 2 eyeball it & stay consistent/try making the same size loops as well as trying 2 keep ea.1 about the same distance apart(or does that not really matter yet at this pt.)? I guess the more u practice making loops(& getting a feel for the correct tension u need maybe)this way, the better u will get at making pretty even looking gaps where the stitches will come out looking the same & appear nice & neat..
@PurpleRoseCrafts7 ай бұрын
Keeping them a little loose makes it easy on the first row, to get your needles in the stitches. Keep in mind too that your needles taper so they will get into the stitches. Also, if you naturally knit looser, your cast on needs to be looser as well.
@mayazc75537 ай бұрын
Nice, but I saw a couple of videos where they purled instead of slipping. What's the difference?
@PurpleRoseCrafts7 ай бұрын
if you knit, purl, its seed stitch, slipping turns it into a double thick fabric in a tube.

It keeps the brim tighter. When I knit it with all one size the brim flares out a little bit.

Hello! I am attempting to do this border on my first blanket ever and I am having a really hard time going from the 1st row of clusters to the 2nd row! I have the row of single crochet and one row of the granny clusters around the entire blanket, but i am stuck and dont know what to do!!
@PurpleRoseCrafts9 ай бұрын
At the end of the row, slip st to join to the beginning, then chain 2, and since you will be in a space, make 2.more DC in the space. Skip to the next space and make 3 DC. At the corner you put 6dc into the middle, of the 6 from the row below.
