I would clean it right away, most hobbyist say to do so. Depending on where you got it from, it may have mold release on it.

for years i've been telling people to use their hemostats more - for weighing hems, for turning doll limbs or tubes (like belts), for pulling needles, and for stuffing toys, but i never thought to use them while stringing! that looks SO much easier than using a chopstick to hold the loop!

I used chopsticks before but it's hard to switch and sometimes it leaves dent on the resin :(

use the silicone discs :) it's wildly available in BJD online shops

Excellent tutorial. I think I can do it now but... where to find those 'hooks' to pull the string in? I have the one very long handled one but it will not go through or it will not come out of a small torso hole. Thanks in advance.

if it feels loose. or if you pull the legs or arms too easy ooorr if the doll couldn't hold any pose or stand

When drying your doll you can also use a hair dryer on the coolest setting!

Hi! Thanks so much for watching my video. Volks have these on their shop and they call it KIPS. to si sure if it's available in Volks USA. I usually buy silicone kips in taobao :)

@@bluesandbjdaesthetics425 my new bjd is similar to the one you've been showing but has quite a wobbly head when attached and a piece that I don't know what to do with. It'd be lovely if you could show you attaching the head on your doll just briefly so I can make sure I've done mine correctly

Yes, the company indeed going to send a replacement for the doll head. But it's sad if the broken one isn't gong to be used as well :)

Informative❤ The process does looks manageable enough but then again it doesn't. I still feel intimidated by the whole thing. Btw, where'd you get all those hooks?

It's normal to get intimidated by the process. Even I do this often, I still get intimidated too. Esp, if the doll is new to me. Not all dolls have the same jointing system and design. The hooks are already on the doll hands and feet. Every doll that came from the doll companies strung or already assembled, there's a hook included on it. If you need s-hooks, you can buy it from any doll companies like LUTS, Volks, Dollmore etc... they should have it available for sale on their tools page. :) Thank you so much for your comment! <3~

Was there msc coating still there before washing?

Thank you for your comment. There's no MSC on the doll I worked on. If it has MSC, it must be removed before washing/cleaning the doll then recoat it with again MSC before assembling.
