I have new filters - why are the covers floating to the top and not staying down?
@Arcticspasutah3 күн бұрын
The covers for the filters are called skimmers. They should be floating just under the water level so you can still see water going over the top. If you just put in new filters and you don't see water going over the top, it is usually the pre-filter which is the top lay of the filter that needs to be replaced. Here is a link to the pre-filter so you can see what it looks like. The just need to be removed. www.arcticspastore.com/2020-custom-series-filter/pre-filter-for-pro-filters-arctic-spas-2020-to-present-custom-series/

We have an Arctic Spa Swim Spa with the remote control. We find it very easy to change the temperature of the water to accommodate our needs. When us old folks want to go soak in the hot water, we crank up the temperature to 103 degrees. The rest of the time we leave it around 95-98 depending on the time of the year for the kids to play in. The only problem we have is cooling the water down. The swim spa is insulated so good we often have to open the cover to get the water to cool back down.
@Arcticspasutah3 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, we can only circulate air under the cabinet to cool it back down. We have an exhaust system that will turn on automatically but it is dependant upon the air temperature. We can add the chiller if you would like that actually cools the water. We can help more at [email protected].

My local dealer gave us one combo filter and one high low filter to put in our Summit XL? But in your video you said you shouldn't use a progressive filter with the combo filter. Should I be getting two combo filters? Or is it okay to use one combo filter and one high flow filter!

Julia, I don't know your specific situation. I would go with the local Arctic Spa dealer's recommendation. Typically, though, we would use 2 Combo filters.

These new Combo filters worked very well for us compared to the original progressive high flow filters. The biggest difference we noticed is as the Progressive filters clog with oils, etc, it restricts water flow which resulted in cloudier water & our having to replace them every three to four months. The Combo filters lasted five plus months, the negative factor is they are more expensive compared as we paid $192 for two filters.
@Arcticspasutah Жыл бұрын
Remember the whole goal with these filters is to make it so you do less. There is no other filter that lasts around 6 months on any brand of spa without any maintenance on your part. Looking for a suggestion about how to slide the rail under the spa. Even when empty they're pretty heavy.. Thanks.
@Arcticspasutah Жыл бұрын
This handrail is attached to the steps. However, if you have one that has a plate that goes under the spa, you don't have to lift it very much. If you have two people, one person can lift on the spa and the other slide the handrail under the spa. Maybe even two people to lift and one to slide it under. You just have to lift it 1/8" or so. We also use other spa lifts but those will typically cost you more than the handrail.

They need to be changed when the skimmers are above the waterline and you don't see water flowing over the top. This means there is not enough water going through the filters. Let us know if you have any other questions at [email protected].
