I forgot how much I love this album, it's a bit like the white album, full of surprises. Not saying it's their best album, but certainly Waters finest hour and some of Gilmours best guitar work, uncomfortable numb being his solo best ever and in the top 10 ever.

For me Pink Floyd are the ones who took rock to it's true artistic peak. David Gilmour brought the incredible instrumentality, and Roger Waters gave things a lyrical edge that was so distinguished and cutting. Wright filled in all the gaps and expanded their sound to space and beyond. Mason's drumming is almost organic. But let's not forget Syd Barrett who showed them all how music is essentially limitless. There are rock bands who rock harder, but none with more class.

When I was 5 my dad gave me this, wish you were here, and dark side of the moon. For my birthday I had gotten my first record player, made by the finest crafts peoples at fisher price (😂) they were his worn out copies (mostly my fault because they were my most requested musics) at that age. I used to stand infront of his stereo and say toons daddy, toons. I miss my father deeply

Nothing like being in the middle of jamming out to a Floyd song, and ads keep interrupting the songs. I hope your toilet paper always rips for you and you always have a less than clean feeling because of your greed.

David Gilmore is hands down the best singer, songwriter and guitarist in history. He is other worldly. The Wall is my favourite album. I listened to it every day until the tape wore out then I got another one. Seeing him in concert was one of the best days of my life.

I’m so late to the party, it took my 40 years to finally see how good Pink Floyd is. I’ve heard parts of some of the songs in passing but never listened to the whole album. Blown away. First time listening along with 4 grams of shrooms in a hammock in my backward in Hawaii. These guys are fucking wizards of sound
