Great question, I still get key's and store them independently depending on where I buy the products. I have not yet bought DLC but I think the game has progressed to a point to where I may pick up some special airports I love. Buying DLC through a platform like steam means updates for that DLC will come from that platform. If you buy through their portal than the updates come through that portal. The World Color and Traffic is pushed through the portal. When they do release a new airport or update you can load the portal, give it a few minutes to find your install and check versions online then you can download the update. So it is much easier than in the past with having to email BMT every few months for new download links and that mess, just annoying to have to deal with their portal. So in short, their portal for updates to traffic and color and any DLC you buy from them directly. Steam for any DLC bought through that platform.

Thanks! The airport may be a port, several of their better airports from T3D were ported over if I recall. Like OMDB. Others were created anew. Not positive on this one. This was a stock schedule, definitely need a busier period :D Fun airport layout though!

The bundle will work with all DLC and Quick Play. Career I have not tried but will take a look at. Curious myself.

Hey so I believe the other comment i meant was when u were trying to give take off clearance to AAL645… you might find this will work: American 645, runway 5l cleared for immediate takeoff upon reaching altitude 1500 contact departure… try that format 🙂

@@markriley128 I don't recall if it was the final departure but there was one where a variation on the format that kept failing went through but its very odd they made all those adjustments and left the guide untouched lol :(

Good call out and thank you! I need to go back in and set up some of my defaults. I'm not too annoyed at colors right now but I am getting tired with resetting my ground and air maps layout and labels every time I play lol.

It has been a while, but if I recall you could spec your character loadout with two main weapons and then a secondary. I usually had the P90 or an M4 variant and then a stupid large sniper rifle as well as a pistol. I don't recall setting anything up other than the weapons I had unlocked / found in the slots. If you mean the same weapon I think only a few weapons can be dual wielded but as I said, it's been a while!

Hmmm, I only played the PC version but I recall some option in the general game or video settings around gore / blood to turn them off or down. Would be surprised if they removed that and defaulted it to on in the PS5 :o

I did not buy the retro colors. I have limited time right now so I don't get to play much but I do still have 3d installed for a one off. Most of the video's have been focused on the new game. In the case of the retro color I would definitely remove in reverse order from instillation: Airport Color, Traffic, Game. Not having retro liveries I would surmise that needs to be installed instead of the real color mods for the airports otherwise they may conflict but that is just a guess.

Yeah, I know they edited the commands a bit to give some more options during pushback, but I played the prior game a ton and have it well engrained in my mind to deal with the direction I want them to face by the runway assignment if they are pushing out into a main taxi way vs within the Aprons. I say they are working on some more updates so I'll get in and play with it a bit more but blah lol. Likewise, I dont mind the system finding an efficient route, but as controller I know where I am routing my traffic and while I am NOT the best or most intelligent if I have a flow around the airport I need to be able to dictate that vs the issues of planes picking their own path. Sure they can expect one and if it works for me have at. If not, let me change it! The old game with the mod that I did some video's with worked much more smoothly IMO but this new one adds a lot of good things in. Tough :(

Traffic working is a good start. Color needs to get installed into the **\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks folder unique to your install area. May need to uninstall it all and start fresh to avoid conflicts as windows / the game may be linking two separate places.

yup, but only on the a320s in this game, rudder sticks, almost like it doesnt recognize my rudder axis that i setup on my controller as an actual axis, but more like a button, id reckon theres something broken with the a320s in this game or something

​@@Someoneudk890what helped for me was to set a deadzone for the rudder which stopped the constant pull to the left, but still didn't behave like an axis

Ok so i just found out that for some reason when i map my rudder it adds some weird button combination, i can use my rudder in flight now with the a320, but when im on the ground it still swerves left and right alot because the rudder still sticks, and im also not sure if i can use the rudder properly now with other aircraft

You do not, the game comes ready to go out of the box. You will have fictional airlines and such to play with but can have a fun and challenging time. IF you want to play with real airline's and their liveries in game, then you will need the bundle. If you want to play the majority of custom schedules which are designed with real airliners in mind, you will need the bundle.

PC Or XBOX? The most recent update messed with a few of my settings but after reconfiguring them it worked fine again. Seems this is the ongoing issue they cant seem to address :(

@@Ripskin16i play on pc. But i only happens with the on 737-800, not any other aircrafts that i have tested.

Annoying that they have not fixed this or set up some better tools / information after this long :( Mine has gone wonky once or twice randomly with updates as well. Thankfully the usual fixes and toggles still get me going. Wonder if its locking the rudder input or not resetting it once selected or something else is also using it? :(

Weird, is that on PC Or xbox? Latest update? AI assistance and other stuff all checked? Sounds like the game is dropping something somewhere. I have had an off and on bug with ATC that drops off and wont work or only partially works over halfway through a flight. Different system but weird bug of it works fine then falls apart.

@@Ripskin16 I just had the same issue. I landed the damn plane, and as soon as I landed, the game would not let me use the freaking rudders.They froze up, and next thing you know, I'm veering off into the grass

Thanks! Trying to get through some medical stuff and get some of my time back to be able to create some more regular content again. If this update makes some things more stable then I may consider buying one of the upcoming airports that they are polling for :)

Interesting, At what stage of the install does that error come up? Did you download the file to a network share to install from? Are you trying to install it on a network machine vs your local? Are you behind a firewall, hardware or software that is blocking remote updates to the platform to complete the install? Do you have a VPN or something active that may be blocking it?

@Ripskin16 So I tried the VPN and firewall stuff first as that's what I thought it was, but still got the same results. The install would always immediately jump to 3/4 of the way complete and would pause till it eventually showed that message. Everything I could think of to do didn't work. What I ended up doing was downloading and installing portal on my laptop, which worked somehow, and I just uploaded the files to Google Drive and downloaded the whole folder onto my main PC. So I'm able to use the mods now, but that error was really weird. I've never seen or had that problem before.

@@Lone_Wolf_024 That is weird. Any anti virus scanning the install that may have hung it and confused its error reporting? Cant be a space issue since you copied the files over from the other computer. I suppose it could be something in the hosts file maybe conflicting with it calling out but still weird. Glad you got it working!

They have the models but I am not sure if you would need to decompile the game data files from the install directory or if you are able to mess with them. Originally we were supposed to get access to an editor but that was scrubbed so they could sell more content :( Sorry I have not looked for them directly but surmise they are baked into some of the game files.

Hmm, this was an update to the original video pulling in a number of things people had called out and I had seen related to the issue. Some people had controller problems, others calibration, others AI assist issues. Some people had directly asked for what my setup was to try and correlate their hardware. Not sure I would call a 9.5 minute video a stretch of chit chat for watch time. Not sure if you looked at the original video or the other comments to see just how many different scenarios and things were happening. Common thread was the rudder / steering on the ground would creep or full engage and was not isolated to PC players either. I do appreciate the feedback and will consider it if I do any further or similar videos :)

Was a very weird situation. Because the screens were flickering or sort of working for a bit I did not think about kicking on the APU at the time. When they died but the engines and control surfaces were good I thought it was a game bug lol. But then I landed and powered off a few things and the screens came on I went huh. Well next time I'll give that a try :D

I have seen the Tower! 3D Real Color and Real Traffic ones on sale at times, major holidays or events. I did not check Tower! Simulator 3 this time as I had them and was not on the site looking for new airports or anything. But I would surmise they will receive discounts from time to time!

Real Traffic is the base, it is an across the board update to all airports changing the airlines, schedules etc all over to real world airlines etc. Real color is unique to each airport you purchase it for. So if you bought it f or TIST then it will specifically update that airports traffic based on the airlines that service it at the time of creation to have proper liveries. Now, if any of those airlines service other airports, then you may get some free airlines at other airports. But that is not a guarantee, just that the airport you purchased it for will work correctly against airlines at the time of creation. So I purchased real color for about 5 major airports. Off the top of my head; LAX, ATL, DFW, EDDM and OMDB. Two international ones where minimal US airlines service, and 3 to cover the entire US overall. I think 90% of the planes at PHL have liveries and 10% or less are white so for the most part my 3 color purchases in the US gave me a lot of good coverage. The critical part is the instillation directory you put all of the files in. If you have the right airlines it sounds like traffic is in properly. But what airport did you buy color for, and did you install it to its correct location and have you tried playing the airport you purchased it for?

@@Ripskin16 That's the thing, I bought the NEW Real color update from their website for like $5.99. What does the real color update do for me? I thought that is what I need for the starter airport (st. thomas). Do I HAVE to purchase additional real color modules for each airport (e.g., Dulles is 6.99). Thanks for the info BTW very helpful.

@WysteriaGuitar Unfortunately the short of it is yes. You need to buy real color for each airport you want to play at without white planes. But you can get away with strategic purchases of airports that should cover the "bulk" of your main play areas and the others will pick up some of the airlines to save some money. Like my purchase of LAX for West Coast, ATL for close to EST and south, and DFW as my home airport. The others were so my international airports would not be 90% white. By doing so even if I play TIST where I have not bought real color, about 50 to 60% of the planes have liveries on them. Most that don't are smaller island jumpers and I can live with that. But for a busy place it was more important (for me) to gain the liveries as I'll see it a LOT more and its odd to see a big jumbo with no paint . But PHL, I played it a reasonable amount but never bought real color for it and most of my airplanes have liveries so almost a free update :)

First thing I would check is the instillation directory for real color, if the planes are white at an airport you bought color for, its not being read by the game.

First i tap on the download link and then you place it in your C drive in tower 3d steam where the game is installed, but then they ask after you have entered the key in which file you want to place them, that's where it goes wrong for me i think

@@jimmyboe2753 During the instillation you will need to provide your registration information (key, name yadda yadda). Once you do that and you get to the install directory you need to ensure it is pointing to the proper section for the new textures to go. For this, as you said you need to know where your game is located within steam, and where steam is located. If you installed it on your c:\ drive great. If not, adjust everything up to the "Tower 3D Pro" directory from my personal location below. I placed everything you need to customize in the parenthesis. (F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro) \Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks No matter the airport, if you bought real color for any airport you install it to that directory within your personal game instillation file path. Hope that helps!

after extentions i have 2 files 1 is airports and 1 is airplanes there is no texturepacks file?

@@jimmyboe2753 So I would go to your windows add / remove programs and uninstall the real color apps. If you installed the files into the extensions, or airfields directory, may need to remove real traffic and uninstall / reinstall the game. The path to the Real Color files should be: Your Drive:\PATH TO YOUR STEAM DIRECTORY\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks For me this looks like: F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Tower 3D Pro\Extensions\Airplanes\Texturepacks

Unfortunately they are not available through steam as they are third party add ons. Either get them from the Feel There store or through the Feel There Portal where you can install them to your game. I have wished for many years they would put them on steam but sadly they are not :(

I have not installed it yet but I have the installer and plan to run through it and submit an update since the process is a bit different. From what I expect once you install their app you will have to point it to your game files, then input your licensing information to "add" the product you purchased to it where you can then likely point the product to your install and kick it off but I will find out and post an update.

The game does have a lot of positives which are great, but coming from the old one to see so many steps backwards and things not fixed from the old is very disheartening. It is fun, I won't lie, but I wont give them money for add on's or airports with the main issues unresolved :( But I will still play and am glad you are enjoying it! You are correct, I thought in an older video that was not a functional option or if I am just blind and crazy this time through which is the excuse I'll use lol. I will speak to that in the next video, thank you!

I have Scottish in my lineage, but the super duper accents are a bit tough for me lol. Sounds like an interesting challenge :D And one I would fail haha!
