Dean Martin was not a drunk, it was just a part he played. He and Sinatra used to play cards next door to where I lived as a kid, and some nights I used to see them leaving with Dean carrying Frank to the car.

Most of these didn't age badly; they just got horrible plastic surgery. They would have been better off aging gracefully.

In some of these cases, factors besides alcohol also played a part. Drug abuse absolutely destroyed Jan-Michael Vincent. It was also a severe problem for Bela Lugosi. Leonard Nimoy died of COPD after years of smoking. Michael Landon was a heavy smoker since his days on “Bonanza.” By the way, your presentation would have been better without repeating lines such as, “ . . . destroyed his health and relationships.” Also, get a grip on your photographs; for example, Sinatra and Crosby shouldn’t be included in a discussion of Lon Chaney! Many others could have been included: Richard Harris and Trevor Howard, for example.

Thank you for sharing such detailed insights! You’re absolutely right-many factors beyond alcohol played significant roles in the lives of these stars. Your examples, like Richard Harris and Trevor Howard, are great suggestions, and I’ll definitely keep them in mind for future videos. I also appreciate your feedback about the presentation. Repetition and photo accuracy are areas I’ll work on to ensure better quality and storytelling in my videos. Thanks again for taking the time to comment-your input helps me improve and deliver content that’s more engaging and accurate! 😊

I knew a student in Boston who seemed to be inebriated every time I saw her. She was the dearest person. It's possible I'm wrong. I kind of hope so.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It's interesting how some personal encounters can leave a lasting impression. It’s always important to approach such situations with empathy and understanding. Hopefully, your memory of her reflects more of her kindness than any struggles she might have faced. Appreciate you watching and engaging!

Juan Crawford!!!! And, that's after showing a photo of Lionel Barrymore in your piece on his brother John. You people who want to make $$ out of the Entertainment industry need to at least have a teeny, tiny idea of what you are doing and saying. I can't stand it!

Clint Eastwood and Elvis served in WWII? That's as far as I got in this piece of crap. Whomever posted this proves that a village somewhere is short their idiot. Try looking at a history book and finding out when WWII occurred. Someone should study and someday they might advance their IQ to moron.

But that's Humphrey Bogart at 0:28, not Ross Alexander. And most of these actors were in the business either before or after Hollywood's Golden Age (1927 - 1960).

Thanks for catching that! I’ll review the section to correct the mix-up. I appreciate your feedback and will work on being clearer about the timeline in future videos. Thanks for watching!

What’s so funny about all this is you can tell them all done it and then they weren’t tell you. Oh no we haven’t done anything like that. Hell, look at the mirror people

Elvis Presley , you must be joking.

Elvis Presley did serve in the military, but his service came later, during the 1950s. This was a mistake done by our researcher; which we will hope not to repeat in future.

I find it so insulting that these people who have had cosmetic surgery claim that they did not! Do they think we are that stupid that we can’t see? I think they are the stupid ones.

It does feel insulting when it’s obvious they’ve had work done, but they still deny it. Being honest about it would definitely show more respect for their fans’ intelligence.

Strange how alcohol abuse is attributed to fame: acquiring fame, handling fame, and losing fame.
@HollywoodExplained23 күн бұрын
You're absolutely right-it's such a vicious cycle. Fame seems to amplify everything, including struggles, and unfortunately, alcohol often becomes a coping mechanism for the pressure and spotlight.

I understand your surprise at Renée Zellweger's changed appearance. In 2014, she addressed public speculation, attributing her look to a healthier lifestyle and natural aging, not surgery.
