Just scored the vintage vinyl record of this album in mint condition at good will for $1. Took a chance, cause I never heard it before. My initial response, was nothing short of blown away. Absolutely love it. The composition, the diversity, not to mention the emotion Buchanan translates into his guitar. I am a true lover of all genres of music. Rock, jazz, funk, soul, hip hop & more. But this! This is something special from the beginning of side A to the end of side B. Plus I absolutely love the fact that this is mostly an instrumental album. I know it's listed as rock/blues. But I'd feel safer defining it as a fusion of rock, jazz, blues & soul. Not to say these other elements are in every track, but they certainly find themselves sporadically appearing in their appropriate places. Overall, though, it IS mostly blues/rock heavy. I also love that he is not afraid to work the synth/Moog sounds in. Would've loved to hear what he might've done on this album if he had an orchestra at his disposal. Still, it's nothing short of brilliant. It's very hard to believe this was a commercial failure in 1978. Probably because the 60's & 70's audiences were so saturated in good music coming from every direction, that maybe thats why they probably turned their nose up at this record. Well, thank you, I'll take this record for $1 all day. This is a masterpiece.

He's pretty intense. I learned about this man when I was 17. I'm 42 now. The messiah will come again.

Idd it has a very Floyd alike sound. Though guitar wise he raises the bar a few levels compared to Gilmore [who is awesome as well]

Letra: Surge a alvorada, Folhas a voar E o inverno do meu tempo começa A brotar, a minar. Deus, eu me sinto feliz. Deus, eu me sinto feliz. Composição: Cartola / Roberto Nascimento.

A truely gifted guitar player - genuinely underrated. A great song of a different kind of album for Roy. Has a touch of Pink Floyd about it.

My favorite to,alongside '77s "loading zone"which I like equally the perfect 2 on 1 cd for 70+minutes of mostly instrumental IMO, first heard this on radio back in '78 after being released, 98 rock a Tampa radio station would play a full album once a week, back when radio was halfway decent certainly the last years of decent probably 70s and first part of 80s, after that downward spiril downhill
