Jason Isbell sees friends like notches on his belt. He'll gain or lose one and only think it's about himself. Isbell said Trump's Operation Warp Speed was dangerous and irresponsible. Then required his fans to take the same jab. Then didn't take all the required boosters himself. What a principled man.

I was fortunate to hear the band in that early iteration, with Jason on guitar and his then-wife on bass, back in something around 2004 (plus or minus). It was an awesome show. So happy that they are all on their feet and doing well.

Jason is an inspiring musician for myself. Great guitar player and singer and such. He's played with my hero's...Gillian and David and who knows who else. But I know I will never buy one of his records when theres a JT one in the same building! No sorry, i meant the world.

Even without everything else, I think Jason probably had to leave eventually. He's too much of a songwriter, and a deeply personal songwriter to boot, to wind up as anything but a solo artist.

Sturgill and Tyler are great.... but it's the same country music we've been hearing forever. Colter Wall is a master at his craft who truly sets himself apart from all others with story telling and unique sound. Damn near every song he sings is captivating.

The band I was working with in 2005 played with DBT at the Riverfront Parking Deck in Wilmington NC. Amazing show! Those guys were real friendly and brought a high energy, great show! We had played right before them at Smilefest 10 the night before and the shocked look on all those smiling hippies faces was gold! 😂

No matter what the subject matter is Jason’s music always has a beauty to it….like it’s undeniable….I’ve heard certain songs of his that at times have made me cry & I don’t even know what the song is about 🤷🏼‍♂️but it has a feeling that can just stab you right in the heart ….in the best way 😉y’all be safe🖤
