So lovey to see this! Ms. April Berry was a dance faculty starring artist. She introduced me to Mr. Alvin Ailey’s majestic legacy. I’ll never forget Ms. Berry’s dedication, strength and artistry. She brought the late master, Katherine Dunham, to Denison. I still workout performing Lester Horton “flat backs” and Dunham hip isolations. Thank you! thank you! THANK YOU ALL!! Cheers from Atlanta, Georgia. Love a peace! Love you Miss April!❤❤❤

I absolutely adore this director! You are so supportive of your dancers, even though they are “professionals”. We all need validation! And every dancer still needs positive corrections no matter how experienced they are. I get the feeling you make these young people feel very safe and comfortable within your company. I also like the way you explain the exercises that are coming. You repeat them twice in a way that even an intermediate dancer can understand and remember. This is such a good class that I have saved it, and I will be following along at home. I’m really impressed with Kansas City Ballet!

0:42 'characters getting killed' is considered an R-rated moment? wow, that would make your typical Shakespeare play off-limits for minors, wouldn't it? anyway, this sounds all very intriguing. very much looking forward to it.
