Also, I don't suggest using any combat arts against him, he is too fast, won't let you do it. You need pure katana and aggressiveness. I like to use spinning umbrella to deflect his multi-swing combo, but that's it.

Every inner boss has their own new move. For genichiro you need to perfectly deflect otherwise he damages even if you deflect he does that 3 times for his third one quickly move forward for easy attack. He's nothing compared to inner owl so yeah

you are spamming block when the enemy is about to attack. You are still a newbie and far far away from pros. Try to deflect at the right time instead of spamming it. That is how you can make money with your videos

Quick tips: 1) spam dragon flash on gyoubu when he is away drifting. Dragon flash has long range and does a LOT of damage to him. Just spam it (don't hold the buttons to empower dragon flash, it takes time. Do the quick one many times) 2) be more aggressive with lady butterfly. Use snap seed for her kids. 3) genichiro is supposed to be harder, but don't worry. If you get the deflection of that 3 slash combo down, you are mostly fine. IMPORTANT: use reflection to practice genichiro fight, before doing gyoubu and lady butterfly over and over again. Another pro tip: try to keep your health near full at all times, it affects your posture recovery and survivability. If it's half or less than half, HEAL. There is no point in not healing at that point. Your gourds reset after resting anyway. Good luck with the rest of the journey. Im pretty sure you can beat 1st gauntlet today, or tomorrow max.

For the double general fight, you can pop a Gachiin's Sugar (increases your stealth), sneak behind the other guy and puppeteer him to fight the boss for you. In that light, him being there actually makes the fight a bit easier.

You're supposed to jump on sweep attacks, not dodging. Not only are you given s when you jump (as opposed to none at all if you dodge), but if you can bounce of the enemy's head, you deal massive posture damage. Also, remember to mikiri more. Basically, dash toward the thrust instead of away. The timing is very lenient, and you also deal massive posture damage.
