Aeh I have that same noise on my 01 Mustang can you fix the knocking noise completely after you put nails in
@EzziEllis12 күн бұрын
So the knockin noise is usually that area on the bar and poke holes with a long nail screw

I was of course skeptical about this idea, tried it on front left and right wheel bearing...heated both new steering knuckles to 450 for 2 hours and froze the new bearings for 4 hours. The bearings fell into the knuckle without a hammer! Genius and thanks a lot!

I'm considering purchasing a Yukon Denali 6.2L, is it possible to remove this filter and route an external oil filter/catch can to replace it?
@craiggerlach5548 Жыл бұрын
So the 01 4.8s have no filter? Trying to diagnose a faulty AFM system and it having shut off 4 cylinders and them not turning back on, and codes were just for misfires, all cylinders and MAF, and there was nest in filter box so likely why that code. You can hear those lifters clattering and runs on 4 cylinders like a dog... was running fine, no issues, good oil pressure, then went into this mode with 4 dead cylinders and flooding my crankcase with gas since it thinks those 4 are still running...

This also goes for the 4.3 engine in the chevy blazer, Astro van. If it's damp or rainy or humidity, car will stall out while driving and take a while to start backup. Very aggravating.

if you don't wanna accidentally ruin your plastic just leave your car outside on a hot day then put a coat of transmission fluid on, let sit an hour or so then wipe off with a clean rag. works great and will last up to a year.
@RobB-vz2vo Жыл бұрын
This works well. I did this on an old SAAB about 10 years ago which had plenty of UV-damaged plastic after noticing that a spot which I spilled some ATF on still looked good after a couple of months. So I wiped ATF on all of the UV-damaged plastic and rubber. The car sat in the Australian sun which has the highest UV levels in the world at temperature of up to mid 40 celcius (that's up to 105F); it still looked good after about 10 months which is when I sold the car. Just don't do what I did and wipe it on the dash because the oil seemed to evaporate and coat the inside of the windscreen with a fine oil and gave the interior the smell of eau-de-mancave.

Never knew this worked. I borrowed a bearing removal/installer that was crossthreaded and useless so was forced to find an alternative and sure enough it worked. I Put the part in my bbq grill and froze the bearing for only 5 hours and pushed right in. Thanks so much for this video.

@luvthqflex3 жыл бұрын
No it will not but if you do go too slow it will burn the plastic, and possibly separate the glue from the trim and the car as well.

Years, if you coat it with Wipe New Trim Restore every 2 years. I torched my wife's Jeep 5 or 6 years ago and it still looks like I did it yesterday. Follow my directions on torching carefully ok?

@rusty153533 жыл бұрын
Yeah of course this wont-work for a crankshaft/harmonic balancer bolt. You'll need an impact gun or flywheel/flexplate lock and a big breaker bar. Those bolts are torqued anywhere from 150 to over 300 lbs

@@rusty15353 as ive learned... XD the breakers i have wont break em, and I dont wanna drop 200 on the 1/4 inch impact right now.
