17HMR is NOT up to the task of coyote hunting. .223 or above is what is required. These are messy kills.
@mikeborkovic2982 Жыл бұрын
Can you show me where it says minimum requirement for coyote is 223? 17hmr is plenty power to kill a coyote. No your shot placement and it's capabilities. I've seen plenty fall from 22mag 17hmr and 17wsm.
@TheHighwinder Жыл бұрын
@@mikeborkovic2982 These videos are the evidence. Anything I'd use on coyote better turn a prairie dog into pink mist and unrecognizable fragments. 17 just knocks them over, so that's definitely not good enough for yote. Again, these videos are the evidence.

That .17 seems the perfect round for these smaller, soft animals. The .223 might be a little overkill but room to move up to bigger game. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✅✅✅✅✅

Appreciate the bullet type does the 20 g xtp do about the same on smaller critters/squirrels as a VMAX Polly tip would. And does the 20 grain Hornady leave jacket behind n explode little or does it just poke a mushroom peice of lead all the way through. Great video and hunt
@chainbenwa27134 ай бұрын
The 20 xtp mushrooms like a real rifle round. It doesn’t explode like the Vmax does.. penetrates a lot deeper.

Thanks for the video guys. I've had a 4k mini since January. Only hunted twice and haven't had an opportunity on a hog yet. Went with a new 308 ar rifle the last two weeks and I'm just not a 100% with it yet. The image is such a change from glass. Have you had any issues holding a zero? I did the American defense qd mount and it seems like I need to shoot more to get really comfortable.
@roadrunners12362 жыл бұрын
@@waderade8128 We haven’t had any problems with our holding zero I know we both use after market mount instead of what comes with the Sightmark Wraith but the 4K mini is a great improvement from the other Sightmark wraith

I've been running that same helmet setup with the tm-19 for about a year now. Absolutely love it. And kiloohm nailed the design for the mount. I dont go hunting without it
@mattzenzen90632 жыл бұрын
How does the image size look on the TM15? Is it close to 1:1 or is it at least tolerable on a helmet? I’d prefer the TM15 but I am considering the micro-384(1:1) but I hear the picture is a little smaller than 1:1
@rivernick22972 жыл бұрын
The tm15 is 1.5x so it'll be pretty close. I've been running this setup for a year with the tm19 1.9x. It's definitely doable and I love it. The earlier model monoculars have a smaller screen, so if you can, get the tm15.
