Can you use the same bucket for all the shirts or does the solution needs to be changed every time.

Thanks for the question. You do need to rinse the bucket out each time.

I loved the content. The words alone would have been better for me. The music was so distracting for me I almost didn’t watch the entire video. The message was important and well done.

Make your own soda ash cheap. Heat regular baking soda for 1 hour 300°. You’re welcome.

@Annie261 Better yet, stead of buying Sodium BI Carbonate / Baking Soda, for around the same price, buy Sodium Carbonate ...., aka - Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda. - YOU're welcome.

Acid dyes are made for synthetic fibers only. For cotton, you want procion dyes.

It's very possible that I simply picked the wrong material, but I just attempted to make one with a clear polycarbonate tube (I wanted the kids to be able to see the candy slide down). However, I immediately discovered that the candy doesn't slide down the tube. It goes a few inches, then gets stuck. Even if I pitch the tube as steep as about 60 degrees, the light weight of the candy still can't overcome the force of friction holding it up. Any ideas? Or does polycarbonate just have some properties about it that makes the surface a little tackier? It sure seemed smooth when I bought it, just didn't work when I actually field test it. Obviously, I don't want to use any kind of oil or silicone lubricant, or it will make the candy kind of nasty on the other end.

I love the idea of a clear tube. The candy wrapper must create too much friction or static with the polycarbonate tube. You could line the tube with something. Wrapping paper might be the easiest thing to use, but the tube won't be clear anymore. Or maybe slide a 2" or 3" wide piece of wrapping paper the length of the the tube on the inside so the candy will slide down the paper and the rest of the tube will still be clear. Thank you for your question. Have a wonderful, safe Halloween.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I attempted to run a bunch of waxed paper through there to smooth down the sides. I think might have more to do with the bore: it's only 1.5 inches around, which results in more points of contact for the candy wrapper to "grab." All of the chutes I've seen on KZbin have larger channels. As I told my friends, I found the secret weapon: Starburst. Their wrappers don't stick out in all directions, they are pretty dense AND the paper is waxed. Thus, they shoot through like a bullet through a rifle barrel. Time to hit the store and empty the shelves of their fruity, chewy goodness. 😀

Thanks for not overengineering this!! I don't have time or interest in cutting 2x4 wood, fitting pvc pipe, buying all that extra stuff etc. I have access to a bunch of tubs and was looking for SIMPLE ways to use it.
