If you have tested the 2024 EV model , would appreciate your comments on the how successful you think Genesis improved the noise vibration and harshness issues in the 2025 model. They installed hydraulic bushings in suspension, added adaptive dampers in trunk for the noise from gate over some surfaces (among other enhancements). I have Prestige with adaptive suspension and my sunglasses shake in holder over some surfaces and anything loose in trunk makes noise (you hear much more since car is quieter vs gas) Re range. I get 270 regularly in eco mode, it goes down to 230 in winter with very cold temps (under 40 Fahrenheit).

Thanks for sharing your experience, I haven’t driven the 2024 model so can’t speak to the comparison. But I do know there are even more refinements for the 2026 model over the 2025. Also, your range is excellent, love it when drivers beat the EPA numbers!

Just got one last month, it's a lovely car and very classy - smooth driving, great interior - luxury stuff and miles ahead of the competition. The only issue is the "connected" stuff - remote start, stop charging etc - everything goes back to a genesis server which seems unable to reliably connect to the car. Many times I tell the car, via the app, to remotely heat the car - and it doesn't do it. Same with stopping charging - there is an issue, from my POV, with the app. Other than that it's the best car i've had in terms of overall luxury, drive, smoothness, power - previously had an audi q7 and range rover sport.

So happy to hear you are loving yours! Since this was a press loan, I didn’t have access to the app to give that a try, so thank you for the heads up. I did use the key fob to remotely activate climate control and that went off without a hitch, so yes sounds like the app or connectivity is glitchy, I’d definitely have it checked out at your dealership, or maybe another owner can share their experience here.

Hate that the fixed panel glass roof is only an option in Asia and the UK. The other visual nitpicks are that Atlas white is available as a matte color in those same regions but only gloss in NA, and the car, for me, still sits too high. That said, the white with black trim and deep orange accents looks fantastic.

Genesis make very beautiful vehicles. I love my 2023 electrified G80 and this SUV is nice. However, at this price, there should be more range and power folding for the rear seats. Still very nice.

Totally agree. BTW, Genesis has announced the 2026 will come with a bigger 84 kWh battery, however not likely that that will bring it up to 300 miles of range. Electrified G80 is gorgeous! Enjoy that car, I loved reviewing it. Thank you for watching!

Very nice straight forward video, Thanks. I was surprised that you didn't mention the G3 communications that was changed to G4 somewhere in the 2017 year (I think). And that the G3s are not upgradable. Me; I'm hunting the 2018 or later I3s Rex model. I owned a Fiat 500e and got burned almost every week by that 90 mile range.
@MichaelDrivesOfficial
@MichaelDrivesOfficial Ай бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! Also, I wasn’t 100% sure about that G3 to G4 telecommunications changeover so I didn’t raise it in the video, but it’s a good point and buyers should be aware that any pre-2018 model may have outdated G3 communications and wouldn’t be able to use the app, etc. Also interesting that you had a 500e, as that was the first EV I owned back in 2013!
@unclegeorge7845
@unclegeorge7845 Ай бұрын
@@MichaelDrivesOfficial My first EV as well. When I bought it is when I learned that FIAT just like BMW are not going to do anything about it. If the I3 or 500e had the sales numbers the early Nissan has I think someone would build a fix although I do see I3 recoding kits which are about $50 for everything are now out for the I3. It's just such a usable size. What a totally cutting edge car in 2014. Not bad for today actually.

@MichaelDrivesOfficial It is definitely different, but it is done quite well. I like using the launch mode with the supersonic one 😄 I do notice that other drivers aren't as aware of me on the road if passing. I think before they could easily hear the Camaro, but the I5N is silent. I tried the exterior speakers with ignition mode, but my friend said he couldn't hear them when outside.

@@Ghettochild.2600 ordered the matte ecotronic grey with the white as a back-up. I really hope Hyundai releases a sound pack featuring an emulation of their old V8 that they used in the Genesis sedan. Not my favorite V8 note, but still throaty enough. I also hope they edit the existing sounds to push the mids and bass for all three existing sounds. They all sound too tinny right now.

I like the styling and packaging of this better than the Blazer and I've seen them on the road and they look great. I test drove this and Blazer and liked this more. Judging by the remarks by Honda fans that I saw when this was first reviewed I wasn't sure how well this would do but it seems to be selling well. It makes sense as a first EV on a lease if you want a larger normal looking EV with normal buttons and knobs, door handles and okay horsepower and range for an EV. I'd hesitate to buy just because I'm not sure how long Honda will offer it. But if it continues to sell well, maybe they'll keep around for while.

Ford's navigation system is not worth a CR_P. I needed to go to the next city for a doctors appointment. I live very close to a main 4 lane highway. As it goes to my destination. It changes to a 4 lane divided highway. Then I exit it onto a 4 lane divided expressway. Finally I exit onto a 4 lane main road through the city. Last turn I am less than a mile from mu destination. Every quick. My return was to city 10 miles below I origin. My friend who live there. He told me a route to his house. I missed the route number to his place. I punched in his address into Ford's navigation. It showed his address. Hit tapped "GO". A blue line showed up on a route. I followed it through all the secondary streets and all the stop lights. Where did I end up. I was at the junction where I exited off the 4 lane divided onto the 4 lane divided expressway. From a simple express travel to a complicated city streets.

I test drove one and was quite impressed by it. It was more fun than the larger Chevrolet Bolt and liked the styling over the Mini Cooper SE. Mini Cooper SE (US Spec) definitely had more power BUT the range around 110 miles MAX is too low. The Fiat 500e felt slow to start off the line compared to the Mini but when it was moving around 20mph, it had the same kick in terms of power up to about 65mph. If the Fiat 500e was brought to the US with 155hp (like the ABARTH spec in Europe) then this would be a fantastic winner... Dealer quoted me at $350 a month with no trade or down payment (includes tax and fees).... That is still too much money. If Fiat had these with a $200 a month lease w/o any down then they would sell like hot cakes for people who want to use it for commuting.

Just ordered this exact spec - my 4 year lease on an EQC is coming to an end so this will be quite different (wife has an AWD Ariya). The Frunk has a creepy internal release button in case someone "accidentally" gets locked inside. The driver door, from other reviews, can be opened with a pin code (there's a touch keypad above the open button). Nice review, covers a lot.
