I did the same thing. Put the spring on the wrong way. The lever was springing to the open on position instead of the closed off position. Thanks for the video.

I'm in the same situation got some nice forks that I want to put on another bike I've tried the being careful method and got 3 spacers off but they are still stuck and didn't want to damage anything looks like I might have to

Got my forks out without the grinder i used a flat head screwdriver 🪛 and hammer and managed not to do too much damage and was able to reuse them 😎

I have a honda nh80 1992 lead 80Cc , I have the same problem than the end off the video , i don’t have any click when I push on the electric starting button, I change my battery, the scoot work very well, any light work well, everything is ok, but like you I don’t have any sound, any click when I push the button and press the left brake.

How did it perform before the repair with the failed clutch? I’ve got one that will shift to all three gears, but seems to require some fiddling (pulling the lever outward) to reach each of the 3 indexed spots

The evil creaks live inside the bike. They only come out while trail riding. I have an evil creak hiding somewhere in my headtube or bars. I dropped the forks, clean and regreased my headset, and redid the stem bolts. One tip is to make sure you torque the bolts to the correct spec. People think cranking down on bolts will stop the creak, but if a bolt is overtighten then it can make noise. Get a torque wrench and tighten bolts to the correct specs

Crazy how the internet works... About to work on my mothers bike and thought i'd check and see if anyone has any videos about it, being highly doubtful they would. But here we are, watching a 3 year old video about 30+ year old shimano shifters... I love the internet
