hi, I cant remember off the top of my head, but they wasnt long. maybe 16mm max.

i didnt actually do anything, well not what I had planned to do and it stopped leaking and the washers started working lol gotta love these old vans :)

the nut to secure the mirror is already located on the housing and that was closest to the van, so made sense (and according to the instructions) to fit the bolt through from away from the van. there are a few different versions of these mirrors though, maybe others fit different? i will have a look when i'm next at the van but pretty sure it was the only way for this to be fitted.

@@oldmanad After I wrote my comment, I did some image searching and now think you've got it right - sorry. 95% of buses in photos seem to have them fitted that way around. I've got an LT as well and that has them the other way around, which is why I thought they didn't look right on yours, but they are right! Great video - thank you, and happy vanning :)

hi there. in the end i had to put in a new fuel sender and new temp sender. bit of a co incidence them both failing but since doing so they both work fine (well as fine as the fuel gauge can work!)

Sometimes its the little 10v regulator that needs replacing if just the gauges arent working.

thanks for the comment! I did research and it seems i need the G12 (pink) coolant for the van, so hoping it is right lol But having done a bit more research it appears the thermostat works differently on the van, letting cooler water back into the engine, as opposed to letting hot water out. So the pipe I was feeling was the return pipe and should be cooler. (maybe someone will correct me if i'm wrong) as for the welding... nope... not got any welding skills at all! lol Have hopefully found someone to do it thats not too far away, will find out in a week or 2 about that.
