Love Merrill but man that’s a terrible call.

I replay this entire season just because. The Eagles overcame everything in this season. To win a superbowl with a backup QB is just astounding. The entire superbowl Foles was a masterpiece. The entire team was a masterpiece. Seriously the best season in Philly football history. What a game! BG is a legend and HOF'er. And he's still producing top tier plays. This will go down in history as one of the best SB's.

As someone who wants to get back into writing I fucking want to write a whole ass script based on the Philadelphia Eagles 2017 season and superbowl appearance for the big screen
@McKamikazeHighlander Жыл бұрын
Sorry Jed, but that wasn't the first time someone had "bothered to write that down". Both the English Republic, the Levellers and philosophers from England and France beat you to it. Long before them, Pope Gregory wrote that in the 6th century. But worth pointing out the ORIGINAL text of the US Constitution did not class black people as "men" who were "equal". The text actually said "all FREE men are created equal". The myth of American moral greatness is the greatest con since the medieval church had everyone convinced that giving them money could get loved ones into heaven. America is still rife with inequality and double standards to this day. But it's a nice fiction to tell your children at night
@ryanr1701 Жыл бұрын
Bartlet is referring to the Declaration of Independence, but nice try. Perhaps, before climbing atop your tower of self-righteousness, check to make sure it isn’t built on quicksand. A basic civics class wouldn’t hurt either.
@mankeez5892 Жыл бұрын
You know what’s funny? All those people who wrote it down before the Americans didn’t really bother to act upon it. So nobody cares. The United States has done more for your freedom, safety, security and quality of life than you will ever be able to comprehend, so I won’t even bother trying to explain it to you. But try starting by researching what America has done for your right to traverse the world’s oceans free of attacks and piracy, and how those rights have translated to the global shipping routes that enable you to buy anything you want for pennies today.

@@ryanr1701 No they are quite correct. The U.S. wasn't the first to voice the idea of self government and put it down on paper.

@@seanwebb605 The original comment specifically referenced the U.S. Constitution. So, no, both of you are quite incorrect. I remain entirely correct. Try again.

If you look at the video with a compilation of the calls on the play, by far the best is Kevin Harlan's from Westwood One, and the Patriots announcer's call is right behind it.

No screaming in my house, we ran in the middle of room and hugged and said we finally got our Super Bowl victory almost speechless. Now on the other hand, the Patrick Robinson pick 6 (NFC conference game), they heard us down the block.

yup. I was at the Art Museum when Barnett was drafted and he was booed by some and in the Super Bowl he recovered that fumble and held onto it as he was tackled. Barnett may be a one year wonder, but he made some key plays with the fumble recovery and a few other plays in that NFC Championship game.

Still gets me every time. Chris Long congratulating BG on the sideline and 55 cannot even process what just, what he did, what he brought to us.
