Very nice, really like leaving a natural(bark) base. I saw you used a wood stain? Is it a water or oil base? Would like to buy some. Thank you.

Only just starting to watch video and straight away I see a long sleeved woolly jumper! The times I have to comment on people not being dressed properly is unbelievable! Just glanced at the screen and spotted a big fat watch as well! Not sorry to have a dig but been turning for a lot of years and seen some nasty accidents.🙄

Wicked job 👏 nice to see someone else using the same lathe on here as me. Can I ask 2 things do you find the lathe good and what carbide tools are you using I've recently invested in a set of glen teagles carbide range. 🏴👍

Why do have to wear a big watch when you are on the lathe? One catch and you are in big trouble!👎

Nice little trinket box, interesting to see that there were not many cracks in the log, was it green when you were doing this. I use 0.030" piano wire for my burning lines with a wooden handle on each end, what size is yours.

Hi I'm a new turner & doing pretty well even if I say so myself, 😊 but still a lot to learn . Can I ask, what speed do you turn at ?. Where are you based ?
@stephenredhead248 ай бұрын
As fast as the wood allows, when first starting a piece have it lowest setting possible and in crease speed as piece becomes more uniformed, try higher speeds for finishing cuts, wear a face covering always,be safe happy turning/ Buckinghamshire

Great video. Fellow woodturner just tilt the hat in the chuck a little and off center it a bit. Brings a new dimension to it. Also a scarf. Nice piece .
