@TheDarkurthe heck I went from a 49cc scooter all the way to a Harley Fat Bob and a Royal Star Midnight Venture (870 lb bike!) with the 1300cc V4 engine and all kinds of stuff in between. And still bought another Vstar650 3 years ago. Sold it this year to funnd other projects (like this Avalanche restoration) but I would STILL buy another one. As long as you are not going to be traveling great distances over 60 MPH or have a rider and passenger combined weight of over 400 lbs, they are golden. (they get rev happy over 60MPH and REALLLLLYYY should have had a 6th gear!)

I think 380 is more than adequate for self defense. I carry mine more than my P32 and Tomcat. My 32s shoot great with little recoil. I have 6 magazines for mine . Spectrum is easy to take apart , clean and mine has a Lakeland captive spring so it's easy to remove and replace. God Bless

If you had to pick which one out of the 2 do you prefer and why?
@coyote102076
@coyote102076 2 ай бұрын
@crazypitbull16 honestly, that would be like asking a parent to pick which child lives 😄 I put nearly 20k miles on Helix and close to 10k on the Burg400. If I had neither, and was shopping for a scoot, absolutely the Burgman400 . 100% no questions ashed and zero regrets.
@coyote102076
@coyote102076 2 ай бұрын
@crazypitbull16 I forgot the why part of the answer. Why? Comfort and ergonomics is better on the Burgman, only the Helix seat itself is better, but overall comfort at the end of a 8 hour long 350+ mile ride, the burg wins hands down. Helix absolute top speed I ever saw was 76 MPH 5% downhill grade with a tail wind. The Burg400, 95 on flat road as seen in my vids. Fuel economy does go to the Helix though, but at a cost of no power. 0 to 60 MPH is TWICE as fast in the Burgman as the Helix. Longer tire life with the Burgman too. (Larger diameter = less revolutions per mile ie longer tire life) At 70 MPH on the interstate the Burg400 is very noticeably more stable from ruts and cross winds! But still nowhere as stable as my Silverwing600 scoot was.

I have practiced trying different things and I find that if I'm not thinking about it, I automatically point shoot at distances under 7 yards. And without thinking about it I find that I automatically am front sight focused at anything greater than 7 yards. I don't use my rear sights much. I do have this pistol and its a fun little gun. Definitely get a replacement guide rod/captured spring. It will make a world of difference when trying to reassemble this little gun.

2024. The Vulcan 500 LTD is as fast as or faster than 600-800cc V-twin cruisers because it weighs 200 pounds less than those bigger cruisers. It came with 50 HP. Which is more than the new Honda Rebel. I owned one and eventually switched to a 250 cc scooter. The scooter wasn't as quick or fast, but it was more comfortable and had storage. It was lighter too. Cleaning the cruiser wasn't fun. It took two hours. Cleaning the scooter took twenty minutes. One thing I didn't like about the LTD was bumps in turns. While riding at highway speed on a turn, hitting bumps caused the frame to twist a lot. The first time it happened I thought the frame was broken and was about to come apart. Even so, I wouldn't mind having it again. The new Eliminator looks great and has about the same power but weighs forty pounds less than the LTD.

Winchester fmj flat tip does not feed flawlessly in mine but Critical Defence does . As for the .380 fpe ask any combat vet , a hole is a hole and they all draw your immediate attention . Am I saying the .380 is the same as a .45 no , but short of a kill shot the personale reaction will be what you are looking for , it will draw their full attention . I wouldn't carry a .380 into combat , but for personal defence I think it's adequate for short distance encounters .

Bought a cheap Helix China muffler last year, baffle fell off inside already and slowed top speed 5mph. Put another Helix muffler on Elite 250, better quality.. back up to 74MPH, but not peaking at 78 like it used to years ago. Have racing clutch and tried 24g sliders.. actually got more top speed with 21g sliders in variater with motor able to rev higher RPM at top speed. Tried tuning carb and re-jetting also to help my top speed, maybe needs better air intake now or re-tune mixture, adjust valves.

Our 2006 Honda Pilot that has been in the family since 120k miles on the odometer, and now sits in my driveway, is now at 328,xxx miles. Original engine and transmission. Never even had the oil pan or valve covers off. Just normal wear stuff like batteries, a couple of alternators, MANY sets of brakes & rotors, now rolling on a new set of Michelin Defender LTX tires. Darn good SUV's. My daughter in law is still driving my late mother's 1996 Accord! My sister still driving the 2010 Civic with gosh not sure but a HEAP of miles on it. Yeah. I and my family totally dig the Honda's! And after having several Toyotas in the family, their reliability is legendary for a reason. My son's car is a '19 Camry. He also has a Cummins RAM 4x4 and a V8 RAM for the big stuff. 😎
