2 young ladies lost their life because of this coward

It's easy to sideline quarterback. They know there is a child in the vehicle. So why the bump at 60 mph. Why even pursue closely but instead get a helicopter up and track from a distance. That's a question really. No baby in the vehicle, different story. I am glad the baby was not harmed and no officers were harmed as well. It worked out good but I think because of the baby it should have been handled different.

Question: Is it standard to fire into a vehicle with the kidnapped person in it? I understand the circumstances but I personally would be too afraid of injuring the child. Although not entirely sure the best course of action in a situation like this.
