Do we do the loop three after every row, no matter which stitch we are doing?

I was 3 dc in row 19 when my whole skein of yarn turned into the biggest tangled mess Ive ever experienced. Im not kidding it took me at least 2 hours to unravel my yarn. I was determined tho so I got 1 sock done. It looks great. Trying to unfrazzel nerves so I can make the other one and its already passed midnight!

Thank you for this - it is by far the least fiddly and awkward, and the quickest join I have seen. Super easy to achieve first time too.

It took me quite a few tries but I got it and it's a nice join.

I need help with this decrease. Pattern says Rnd 13: ch 1, (sc in next 4 sc,dec) 6 times;join. Do I do 4 sc then one decrease & repeat that 6 times? Please explain. This is for the head of a small angel.
