Hello and thank you for your help. However I have a question: At 5:11, you seemed to have flipped the circuit on its horizontal axis, but then the two diagonals of the circuit still have resistances, 1k and 1k whilst all the others have 500, why has this happened?

since we are finding relative velocity, it becomes addition since they are in opposite direction. its Vb - (-Vf) = Vb+Vf. Hope its clear.

You have finished the syllabus but you haven’t understood the concepts clearly I think. That’s why you are able to solve at home confidently but not at exam. Question that are asked in exam are usually similar ones to what you practise , so make sure each question you understand conceptually… don’t just by heart formula and substitute. Hope it helps, and I’m sure you’ll do better.

I think you can easily find it by conservation of momentum or just differentiate the final equation which you get in the video with respect to time, you’ll get velocity

Initially Lambda was uniformly distributed for the system ie only on the rod when the material is being filled the charge distribution gets diturbed and varies till every charge reaches on surface we ofc cant find this lambda ditribution for every moment the charge has moved and hence we integrate it
