If I got to be honest, I'm getting upset as well. I understand that most if not all of the commenters weren't aware of what was going on and seemed to be kids themselves, but it does feel a bit disheartening and frustrating when seeing those comments. Especially when I saw some comments calling him bratty or spoiled (again, I understand they most likely didn't know everything)

@@STARIZZY458 she really isn't. from what I recall birdie's parents were VERY abusive. they knew birdie had issues regarding psychosis among other mental disorders, and did nothing, because they didn't believe in therapy. whenever birdie would have a breakdown instead of helping him they would just call the cops and get them arrested. among a bunch of other horrible things (I even heard something about sexual abuse going on too). so in short, no, those parents were not angels in the slightest.

it's disgusting honestly. looking back, a lot of the "drama" (i feel weird calling this drama because this is serious shit) was really uncalled for. there was no concern for Jack at all. everyone immediately got angry at him and dogpiled it despite the obvious signs that he was having problems and displaying signs of abuse. it makes me so mad how people saw someone who was literally just a kid and decided that instead of being concerned for his wellbeing and questioning why this was all happening in the first place, that the "right" decision to them was to get mad and cancel Jack. i get that most of these people were kids too, but like... some of them were grown adults making rants and escalating things to a much worse degree. this was all really horrible and could have been completely avoided if people weren't so reactive.

It especially makes me upset that people are empathizing with his mother. My mother is like this. She's only being "calm" because he's saying there's people watching, and he isn't explaining because there are people watching. If he says yes, people will look up his address, putting him in more danger. You can hear the distress in his voice. Really glad it got away. I just hope the people who commented those things have grown up since they posted those comments.

The parents literally laughed at him when he was groomed, told the groomer to stop messaging him, and left him be, only for him to fall back to the groomer. *He blames his parents because parents are supposed to make sure you're safe on the internet and not being groomed.*
